... very difficult to decide whether this second volume is better the first
It is very difficult to decide whether this second volume is better the first. What I know is that my 2ys baby and I keep finding new details that we love every time we "read" it

My son and I love Aaron Becker's book "Journey" and "Quest". We've bought several other copies to give to friends, both young and old...

Amazing. Some times the middle part of a trilogy is somewhat of a bridge between beginning and the end, and dull as well . Not here: Journey, Quest and Return are all amazing on thier own, and wonderful as a whole. Worth "reading" for all ages

La suite de "Journey" ou "Imagine" est tout aussi poétique. L'un ne va pas sans l'autre. C'est superbe.

O livro em si é espetacular, com lindas ilustrações. Mas o meu exemplar chegou com uma folha rasgada.

My wife and I are loving this (soon-to-be) trilogy from Aaron Becker! Oh, yea..our two-year-old loves it too. QUEST is the 2nd book of the trilogy with JOURNEY being the first. We discovered the first book as a Caldecott winner and "read" it over and over finding new and more interesting clues and foreshadowing. I say "read" because both books are wordless, using beautifully detailed drawings and scenes to play out the story. I read the story to my daughter but as she learned to speak, she now reads the story to me - it is never wrong in however she wants to detail the action in the book. Both books follow the same DNA of Harold and the Purple Crayon with our two young heroes on an exciting adventure with the help of magical crayons that open worlds, provide transportation and help them escape danger. I would recommend both QUEST and JOURNEY for any age, but be aware the two children get into dangerous situations and if your child is a little more sensitive to scary situations, it might be too intense. Our daughter loved the pictures then, and now, two years later, loves the stories. She was never too concerned seeing the 'bad guys' or when the action was a little more harrowing, but I did try to gauge her reaction as we read to be sure we didn't go too far. She was more interested in subsequent readings so the books weren't bad for her. We look forward to the 3rd book.
