“Always Two there are, no more, no less…”
The media could not be loaded. This ship is just awesome. The model looks amazing. If you are a Rebels fan, this ship is a must have! As far as gameplay, it’s an imperial beast! It will run circles around enemy ships packing a huge punch! The game will only let you bring Two tie-defenders because they are THAT powerful.I recommend you get two by purchasing the Academy 3 ship squad pack and then purchasing a second tie-defender stand alone. You will then have all the pilots to choose from! Including Vader!

Powerful Expansion to the Republic
Overall, I consider this an absolutely worthwhile purchase. You get three fantastic miniatures for a reasonable price, as well as tokens, upgrade cards, pilot cards, obstacles, and more. This is not the base game, which is still necessary if you want to play the game, but as a kick start into the Republic Faction, this is excellent. The clone pilots for the V-19s are very solid, and work well if you are planning to fly them as wingmen or perhaps as lighter support ships. The V-19s don't really have the stats to work as ace platforms or as counters to powerful ships such as the TIE Defender, but they're relatively cheap on points and can take missiles to add punch. Their five hull make them much more sustainable than TIE fighters, and they can stay in the game the whole time if played well. Further, they are moderately maneuverable and are easy to fly for a beginner and can work well for an experienced player as well. The Delta-7 is arguably my favorite ship that I have so far, and that is for no shortage of reasons. The Jedi pilots are fantastic, which include Obi-Wan Kenobi, and their Force abilities allow them to far outmatch other pilots of their same initiative level. The Delta-7 is highly maneuverable, and with Fine-Tuned Controls built in it is an excellent arc dodger. If you want it to possess a little more punch than two attack dice, the Delta-7B upgrade is available to make it more like an X-wing that can move like a TIE fighter. If you're careful and plan ahead, you can wrench maneuvers out of this ship that can tie your opponent in knots, and then the Force can aid you to destroy them quickly. In my opinion, totally worth it.

Awesome!
Just got this delivered today! Received ahead of scheduled delivery date and in excellent condition. This is just awesome! Who can’t resist the darkside and join the Empire! The details on this TIE Fighter is Amazing!I just got into X-Wing after being an avid collector and eventual player of Armada. I decided to get the Core Set while prices have dropped significantly over the last few months, as things are transitioning between FFG & AMG. I was just blown away with the details of the ships and tried out an initial game. I loved it! So I immediately ordered these three ships and will be investing in an additional Core set. For the cost, a second Core Set just makes sense financially, as your getting two additional TIE’s, another X-Wing, dice and everything else for just $32-$39, as opposed to $70+ purchasing them individually. And face it, there’s never enough dice, when it comes to FFGames!

Great EXPANSION to the core set, a lot of iconic piolets for clone wars/prequels fans.
Firstly, I cannot stress this enough: you need the core set to play this game, you will not be able to play with just this. Back to the actual review, while I haven't been able to use this expansion much, it's been a great add-on so far. This introduces new types of debris you can add to the battlefield with different properties, so it's nice to be able to mix it up, but the main attraction is obviously the ships. The V-19 Torrents are pretty standard and have very similar abilities to the tie-fighters from the core set, but the delta-7 is the main draw, especially with pilots like Plu-Koon, Obi-wan, and Mace Windu. These pilots allow you to use force abilities, and some of the upgrades for the ship also heavily rely on the force. (Thankfully, this expansion includes a couple force tokens). You can design some pretty defensive ships with this expansion, so you can definitely get some battles to draw out and become more intense. I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to expand their X-wing game collection. On the topic of durability, these are little plastic ships, so they are going to be as durable as flimsy plastic can be. That being said, I have big shaky hands, and I haven't broken anything yet, so as long as your careful, you should be fine.

It's Detachable!
The media could not be loaded. When I collect X-Wing miniatures, I get them simply for the model, since I don't have anyone to play this game with. When I got this model, I expected to have a nice Lando version of the Millennium Falcon. And that's what I got; however, I did NOT expect that the front escape pod was also detachable! What a nice surprise, and a welcome little detail! It's now easier to visualize just how the Lando version of the Millennium Falcon functions, and how Han Solo's version looks while hidden under the gloss and extra modifications of the flashier Calrissian! From what I understand, this also has implications for the game itself too, which is cool. Get this set! It'll be a fine addition to your collection.

Your first step into a much larger world
Okay, I bought in to the Grand Army of the Republic after it took GenCon. I am very happy with the faction, despite not playing it as well as the top tables... yet. I love the possibilities inherent in a Force-fueled faction, and the clones look like fun even if so far all I've fielded are the Jedi (and Naboo fighters, but that's a separate review). I would definitely give this faction a look if you like Ace-Wing play, focused on highly maneuverable fighters. This is the starter pack for the faction, giving you Obi-Wan Kenobi and a few other notable Jedi Knights, as well as some clones to fly wingman until you expand your collection.
