Ocean: A Visual Encyclopedia (DK Children's Visual Encyclopedias) Paperback – Illustrated, July 21, 2015

This is a substantial hardcover book with beautiful photos of animals. Our 4-year old grandson loves this book! He takes care with the pages and enjoys us reading to him facts about each animal. I highly recommend this book to keep for the next generation.

This is the 2nd copy of this book that I've bought. The first one was for my son, who loved it so much that he begged me to get one for his cousin. Full of neat facts and stunning pictures, this is a great book to have! It makes a wonderful present and is a book my 10-year-old will still grab and flip through.

Hefty, gorgeous, well laid out, with an index and glossary. My kids love it, both boys and girls, from the 2 year old up to the 14 year old.

Our whole family loved this encyclopedia! My 6-year old daughter asked for Christmas "a textbook about animals" and this is what I decided on after looking through soooooo many different animal books. The information is presented in short sentences she can read herself and the pictures are vibrant and really bring learning about animals to life. She loves it and the adults in the house love it to. We also bought DK's "Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia" as well so now she has her ocean animals and land animals covered.

My son wants to be a marine biologist. He loves this book. Beautiful pictures and great information.

Really nice book packed with a lot of interesting information about the ocean. Decent level of science presented although not too much to lose younger readers. Great vivid pictures and illustrations. I should have bought the hardback, this would make a nice coffee table read.

Love the book, bought it for my four-year-old granddaughter who is very interested in marine biology. Some pages are sprinkled with lots of small pictures with a short explanation of each, and my preference would have been that every page was a large photo (some are) so that more detail could be seen on every photograph. With three little ones gathered around the book fighting to see the small photos it became a problem. But overall the book is wonderful!

Bought for our homeschool collection. My 10 year old loves this book! He is fascinated with all things ocean and spent hours going over the book and enjoying it! Highly recommend if you have an ocean lover in your home too!
