The Definitive Collection

Every song I can think of that Jim Croce performed, and then some. A couple performances I didn't know about previously. Only down side is that the songs are not digitally remastered.

I am from Jim's old neighborhood, in PA, I have been collecting his work for a long while now. All his recordings/videos etc.I just wanted to consolidate, and purchase this set. It seemed like the best of the best, collection. It is, I must say. Three of Jim's Primary Albums are highlighted on this set which makes it a 'must have for the person who wants the beginning collection from Jim Croce. The purchase for the lineup of hits, is definitely worth it! and to really be the die hard fan of Jim, you have to have his first 3 albums, 'You Don't Mess Around with Jim/Life and Times/I Got a Name. They are the Highlight of this 2 CD Set!

I have Photographs and Memories on cassette tape and listen to it a few weeks ago. It rekindled my enjoyment of Jim Croce and I wanted to get the CD version of Photographs and Memories. However, after looking at the reviews for The Definitive Collection, I decided to spend the extra 5 bucks and change and get it. I am so glad I did. You get all the great songs on Photographs and Memories plus so much more. " Walking Back to Georgia", "Alabama Rain" and all the others are worth the extra money. Double your pleasure with this CD.

The product was very good until I got to Disc 2 of the 2 disc set. Disc 1 played great with good quality. Disc 2 would not play at all using Creative and Win software on the PC. But it does play just fine on the car's cd player. That's why I'm giving it a 4 star instead of a five.

One of the best male artist in history, his song as mostly written about his struggles in life, success, family, friends. This is a must have CD he is known for the song " Operator "

This is the best Jim Croce album I have ever had by him. The songs are a great selection, the recording of this album was done correctly and the sound that comes out the speakers is clear. If you can find this album at a good price don't hesitate to get it.

Leroy Brown, and so many others like U don't mess around with Jim, and then the love songs like Time in a Bottle. Wow, this man had it all. Again, only the good die young. I imagine if he had not died in the airplane crash, this would have to be a 4 cd set (at least)

I love Jim Croce!! He was a great singer, song writer and story teller. Many of the songs on this CD are repeats of what I already have on cassette, album and even "8 Track". The world lost great talent when they lost Jim. I received this CD very quickly. I liked that.

Solo decir que este disco, que es doble, me sabe a poco. Su muerte prematura nos impidió conocer sus futuras creaciones. Que nadie dude en hacerse con las creaciones de estre GRANDE de la música americana. GRACIAS.

Ich kann Jim Croce nur jedem empfehlen.Auf dieser Doppel-CD befindet sich eine sehr schöne Zusammenstellung fast aller seiner Songs.So schade, dass er so früh gestorben ist.Die CD wurde sehr schnell durch den Verkäufer versandt.
