Gold Best Tasting Blend (80 Tea Bags)

Rich tasting without being bitter. I tried these because I couldn't find PG Tips Extra Strong any longer. The Gold might not be quite as strong, but it's just as flavorful. I like the flavor very much. I steep it for 5 minutes 15 seconds instead of the 4 minutes I used to steep the Extra Strong. (Both with milk & sugar.)

Been a tea drinker for years now and PG tips has been my go to tea brand. Only recently I discovered that they made a stronger version of the classic English Breakfast so I decided to give it a shot. One thing to notice is that the bags feel more consistent and full which is a huge thing for me. Safe to say I won't be going back! The strength of the flavor is more noticeable and darker which helps when adding cream. Its only slightly more expensive than the classic, but totally worth the slight extra money.

I love this tea! It’s gentle on my system, yet has great flavor. Some teas actually can give me reflux. This one doesn’t. I will order it again. My daughter got me into this brand in Australia. They drink a lot of tea!

This is the best black tea that I have ever had.

This is good tea, but it is an incorrect website description. Pyramid bags are advertised, but the item sent is not the same as pictured. Additionally, advertised are 80 Pyramid bags; sent are 70 non-Pyramid bags (two attached normal tea bags X 35). The issue is incorrect listing vs. what was ordered perhaps? I believe this is up to Amazon to correct. PG Tips are a very reputable brand.

Delicious, fresh, aromatic black tea

If I could give it a "0" I would. I ordered PGTips Gold, it arrived in a timely manner. Not the problem. The tea had expired 4 months earlier (I received it in January 2026, it expired September 2025). Tea begins to loose flavor after 2-3 months and at 4 months it is sorely lacking color, smell, and flavor. And now I can't return it because it is a food item. This is plain old dishonest.

First discovered PG Tips years ago in London before it was widely available in the United States. I never knew tea could taste so good! Since then, I've always kept a box of it in my kitchen, and I'm pleased you can find the regular label just about everywhere now. However, when I noticed this "gold" label on Amazon, I was intrigued. How could it be better than regular PGT? I gave it a try. Shipping was absurdly long, but the price wasn't bad at all. I honestly wasn't expecting much. I thought maybe it would be a little stronger than regular PGT. I was wrong. The gold label is in a league of its own. It has a much more delicate and layered flavor--though just as strong--than regular. I noticed floral overtones to it. Very smooth, but also very acidic, like a fine coffee.A splash of milk and this makes an excellent cuppa. Also,because of its complexity and floral notes that appear to come out better as the tea cools down, I have to guess that this would make some excellent iced or cold-brewed tea. I've never been an iced tea drinker, but I may give it a shot now. If you like regular PGT, give this a whirl.
