8GB (2X4GB) Memory PC2-6400 800Mhz DDR2 SODIMM RAM for Dell Latitude E6400

My 2009 Toishiba Satellite Laptop with 4 GB RAM was running poorly for too long. I considered junking it. As soon as I popped in the updated RAM sticks [please ensure you have the correct specification for you machine] my laptop began running super fast. Yes, it's an old machine running Windows 7 without touch screen capability AND I like it for so many reasons. The upgraded memory [should have done this long ago] makes the machine hum. I wholeheartedly recommend it.Be warned though, I purchased the "appropriate" memory sticks from another vendor based on their statement that it was appropriate for my machine. NOT! I wasted time and energy and when I notified the other vendor they thanked me for letting them know their memory stick was not designed for my machine. Why did they say it was! The moral of this digression is simple: know what your specifications are and ignore vendors who claim their product works for your machine. Search using your specifications to ensure you get the correct part{s}.OK, I'm happy with this vendor!!

Note: Running Linux Mint 19 on Dell Inspirion 1545. This came much earlier than anticipated, RAM installation is very simple: remove old chips, plug and play. Computer took a few minutes longer on first boot when detecting and updating but I have had flawless operation since, extremely fast and reliable. Solid upgrade for a good price.

Works great, went online to get directions how to, remember after disconnecting all power, the battery out, the cord, to hold the on button for a full 5 seconds to fully discharge any juice left in the system to keep from frying sensitive circuits, and be gentle when pushing down on the two on each memory module, metal release bars on each side, and then pulling the old memory out, to install the new memory at the same angles, flat on the bottom, and angled at the top, and if you have not bent anything, it works like a charm...when you then simple reinstall the battery, just slide it back into the clips lock it in place, slide the back on, install the screw, without too much pressure, it will strip, and plug in and turn on,..works great, faster now..thank You..

Went right into my Dell m1530 and once the Bios understood there was a change, it started working ( I have the most recent Bios). I had ordered this memory because of random Windows lockups and a memory check revealed an error. I haven't seen a lockup yet with this memory, but after a long series of memory checks, the Dell reported an error. Might be the controller, but not yet known.

Came carefully packaged. Open package. Removed old memory. Installed new memory and rebooted. PC asked if I installed new memory. I said yes. All done. Checked system and it said I had 8 GB. Works perfectly.

I ordered the listed RAM modules for my aging HP Pavilion dm3-1039wm Entertainment Notebook PC to max out its RAM at 8GB. Although the RAM modules are specified for the Dell Latitude E6400, they are a perfect match for my HP laptop. I removed the battery, followed static electricity protocols, and installed the new RAM modules in 5-10 minutes. I powered up my laptop and successfully ran the Microsoft Windows 10 Pro memory test. I rebooted my laptop and it's been running flawlessly since its memory upgrade. JP

It has been about 6 months since I have purchased this product and it works perfectly. I upgraded an old HP 6730s with this 8GB RAM upgrade and added a SSD and it's working perfectly. No issues at all. Thank you

The install was easy, under a minute. It booted slowly going into setup. Made sure it showed the 8GB instead of the 3GB I had previously. In Windows it showed 8GB installed, but only using 3.5GB. I flashed the Bios with the latest Bios and restarted. Everything works great running Windows 10.

Despite the title of this item ("for Dell Latitude E6400"), the DDR2 SODIMM RAM seems to work with other computers which are compatible with these RAM specifications. Based on a previous comment from JP which helpfully said it worked on an aging HP Pavilion dm3-1039, I purchased this RAM for my old HP Pavilion DV6 Entertainment Notebook PC (model1143tx), and it works perfectly.
