What is this disc?
I ordered music by one of the best Bluegrass groups of the 1960's. I had other of their albums on vinyl, and wanted a good selection of their playing and singing. THIS CD begins with some kind of large group singing in probably overdubbed harmony, later it transitions to some elevator-style bluegrass instrumentals. There is absolutely NO SINGING of the 4-man style they were famous for a la The Andy Griffith Show and no humorous banter that made them so likeable. The CD has nothing printed on it but "DISC 1". The accompanying case-liner has a list of the songs with "Dillards" before each title, which are not numbered.I don't know what to make of it, but it is definitely NOT what I expected nor wanted. It is put out by some organization that claims to dub over lots of obscure music, and donates the money to charity. I question whether this music has ANYTHING to do with the actual DillardsThe advertised picture of the CD case is a colorful logo; this had nothing like that, just black-and-white lettering, and a simple logo. NOTHING about The Dillards AT ALL on the insert or the edge.DO NOT buy this expecting some classic Dillards music. Maybe it's the wrong CD in the case. Or it MAY be a SCAM.
