Mother In Law's Gochujang Fermented Chile Sauce - Garlic

Love it. Channeling my inner Seoul. Lol, Very flavorful, kids love it.

After falling in love with cold noodles in Korea, I was devastated that the same dish was going for over $24 a bowl here. That's just highway robbery! So I resolved to make my own for just a few dollars.Don't be mistaken, this is not gochujang. This is a gochugang'esque chile sauce. It has a great base of ginger, garlic, and gochujang, but it cannot replace gochujang in dishes. HOWEVER, man, this is great for some spicy cold Korean noodles. Don't have to make your own sauce with pear, pepper flakes, gochugang, garlic, ginger, onion, soy and sesame. Just a couple of tablespoons of this, some beef broth and cold buckwheat noodles, and you got yourself a damn good bowl of bibim naengmyeon. Definitely worth it for this purpose, and I'll be getting more when I run out.

This sauce is amazing in chicken! I added it to browned skinless chicken thighs and cooked it for a few more minutes. It’s a 10/10 for me and a little goes a long way.

Expensive but tasty and has much better ingredients than most brands.I wouldn't rank this among the tastiest Gochujang's I've had but I appreciate that it has healthier ingredients than most brands nowadays. Very versatile and tastest good with a variety of foods.

This stuff is potent and dare I say, not for the faint of heart! I baked firm tofu after marinating it in this sauce. It was delicious and I look forward to trying it out on other food items.

Absolutely love this sauce! One of my favorites for sure! It has a nice heat profile that isn't overpowering . Simply delicious!
