Sony 399/395 (SR927/W/SW) 1.55V Silver Oxide 0%Hg Mercury Free Watch Battery (2 Batteries)

Sony sold its battery business to MuRata sometime in 2016, in that sense I would have been perfectly fine receiving a SR927 by MuRata. I received a SR927SW in the packaging of what should be for the multi-drain SR927. This made me question whether the product is truly genuine but in any case having a functional watch is better than a dead watch so I have inserted the questionable SR927SW battery into my watch which used a preciously high-drain battery (SR927W) as seen on the right in the picture attached. As my watch has no alarm, no digital screen, etc., a low-drain battery works fine. I suspect the other reviews which complain about a fast dying battery might be in the same case as they are likely receiving a low-drain battery and putting it in their watches that need a high-drain battery. Though the chemistry is the same silver oxide in both low and high drain batteries the internal resistance parameters are tweaked. Whether it has an appreciable difference is unknown to me but in the three months in the battery is still going strong. Thus I suspect less of it being non-genuine battery and more likely It being a packaging/sorting error but that is really just speculation on my part.

I've trusted the name sony now for over 25 years, my audio equipment, my video equipment, even my cell phone is a Sony, and now the batteries in my watch are also made by Sony, and they were actually a good deal cheaper than the Duracell brand at a CVS in my town.

Compared to other packaging, given that it is a set of two batteries, the price seems a little high.Maybe they will just last ... much longer. Will see.

Battery was delivered quickly and it powers my watch. I received my two batteries on May 5th 2017, and the used by date is October 2019. There are a couple of watches in the family that use this type of battery, so the price per unit was great.

Product met expectations. Nothing negative to say about battery or vendor, The watch started working as soon as the battery was inserted. It is a silver oxide (not alkaline) battery. I bought 2 although I needed only one. Silver Oxide have a good shelf life. Because the watch is a low drain item, second battery may die/corrode before I get to it. We'll see. Sliver Oxide makes for a longer lasting (than alkaline) battery at a good price point. Button sized batteries were shipped USPS (yea) first class instead of more expensive (and overkill) UPS / FedEx ground.

Used it for a MONTBLANC watch... the watch has life again despite all shop watches including MontBlanc being shuttered. When New York City opens up again, I will check here first if I need something... Thanks.

I bought these coin cell batteries to replace the dead batteries in my watch. These batteries are a lot cheaper than buying them from any local retailers, and Amazon has a larger selection of less common sizes.

I have been using these in a Casio Pathfinder Altimeter/Barometer/Compass watch. This watch model I have uses 4 of this type of battery. Works great!I found out this same battery is used for various types of medical devices. Has to be of high quality to pass for this type of application.

Two batteries for the same price of one at the local retailers. Order arrived when it was supposed to. Will order again if I need more.
