Constructor CON2877 Dummy Left Lever Door Prelude Handle Lock Set, Oil Rubbed Bronze

We've had two break on us so far (we replaced all door handles in our house with these). One break was a disaster as it was to our basement door and the backset completely stopped pulling the piece that goes into the strike plate. We had to break into our basement window and even after doing that, we were not able to open the door from that side. After taking the lever apart, we realized the backset wasn't doing anything and had to saw the latch to break it from the strike plate. Not an awesome way to spend your evening. We now have to replace the handle and a window screen :-(

We just DIY installed several of these Constructor Dummy levers as we are changing all the door hardware in our house. They look great, they match the other oil rubbed hardware and have a nice finish. All the door levers we have ordered were shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. The Dummy levers are very simple and easy to install. They come with two color matched wood screws. The only cons I have are: 1. I wish they were sold in pairs for double closets. 2. They are only held together with fold over flaps (see photo). I have provided a few photos to help prospective buyers.

The dummy handle was for a closet door. It went on easily and is relatively sturdy when used. I would not use it in a door requiring any significant force to open. The style and color were exactly what we wanted.

We wanted to update our door hardware upstairs, and these knobs achieved the look we wanted at a reasonable price. Very happy so far.

Just what I needed. Got the right and left hand set for my double french doors. Good finish and easy to install.

Nice fit and finish. Easy to install. Feels good in my hand. Other than the finish color, which is very subjective and personal, the quality is the same as others I have installed that cost 3 times as much.

Exactly what we were looking for as replacement. Well constructed and easy to install. Looks amazing and I’m confident it will last a long time.

I didn't know what DUMMY meant. It's not a working (turning ) handle .Just for looks or if you just need to pull it.
