Lottie Lipton is an “investigator extraordinaire” young puzzlers and mystery buffs will love!
Every nine-year-old girl has to have an idol and Lady Viola Kirton just happened to be Lottie’s. It was a given because Lottie Lipton practically grew up in London’s British Museum. Nix that one because she really did grow up in the museum! Uncle Bert was the Curator of Egyptology and anything ‘history’ interested Lottie. Viola was a “famous treasure hunter” and, of all things, had “unearthed the Jeweled Skull of Marrakesh.” Now how cool was that? And now Viola was on yet another treasure hunt ... looking for clues right in the museum, no less!Lady Viola was simply everything Lottie expected her to be, but a little something soon changed her mind. “Out of my way, pip-squeak! ” Lady Viola practically screamed at Lottie after she finished wooing the reporters. Excuse me? That woman was anything but elegant and charming. Lady Viola, who was no lady, was rude, rude, rude! It wasn’t just Lottie because she even insulted Uncle Bert by snubbing his handshake. What in the world was the matter with her?Even Reg, the caretaker of the museum, was snubbed by the not-so-charming Lady Viola. Apparently the clues she needed to find the “Eagle of the Ninth Legion,” the treasure many thought was a myth, was in a rare library book. The book was the only one in the entire world and Lady Viola had an “Aha” moment as she turned its pages. She’d found a critical clue! If she found the eagle, Lady Viola declared that it was “going to be sold to the highest bidder.” Oh, no! What on earth could Lottie do to prevent the loss of a national treasure? Find it herself, that’s what!Lottie Lipton is an “investigator extraordinaire” young puzzlers and mystery buffs will love!
