Great remote! ILX-407 head unit.
Works as advertised. Like most have commented. The battery "may be" dead upon arrival. Change the battery BEFORE you leave a negative comment. Products DO sit in warehouses for a time. Purchased this remote for my ILX-407 head unit. EVERYTHING works as it should for this particular application. The main reason for purchase was to "power down"/"power off" the head unit. There is no power on or off button/function on the ILX-407. Unbeknownst to me, the ILX-407 was not designed to power off without shutting the ignition off. Nonetheless, happy with the remote. ALSO, Apline tech support was a pleasure to work with and answered all my questions.

Remote wouldn’t work
All instructions and writeups for my Alpine model said that the remote would work with my Alpine stereo. I even got this “Alpine” brand controller rather than the cheaper aftermarket controller. I waited too long before getting to it to try and after double checking the battery and all, this remote would not work.

Alpine car stereo remote control
Remote came with a dead battery and appears to be used. They were pry marks on the battery door, see picture. Once I replaced the battery, the remote was easy to use and worked with my Alpine CDE-172BT car stereo. A higher rating if not for the battery and pry marks.

Buen producto, no es del todo compatible.
El control es de buena calidad, es original de la marca y funciona pero no todos los botones. Puede ser un tema de compatibilidad cok mi autoestereo de la misma marca, lo cual no se especifica en ninguna parte para saber de ante mano si es conveniente invertir en la compra.
