Q: Do you have to cycle through modes(high, low, strobe) to turn this light on and off?

No - there are no modes. Only on and off. The only adjustment is the focusing head which changes it from a spot with a nice hotspot to a even flood.

Q: Does this flashlight come with a warranty?

The flashlight will come with a lifetime warranty through the manufacturer.

Q: How do u put aa battery in this flashlight?

1. Grasp the flashlight firmly in your left hand with the rubber on-off switch facing up. 2. With your right hand, grasp the cap (the part with the rubber on-off switch in it) firmly and rotate it counter clockwise. Continue to rotate it until the cap is removed. 3. Set the cap aside. 4. With your left hand, turn your thumb down until the battery falls out of the cylindrical body of the flashlight. 5. Set the old battery aside for later disposal. 6. Grab a fresh AA sized battery in your right hand and insert it into the body of the flashlight, positive end first. (This is the end of the battery with the with the raised pimple.) 7. Retrieve the end cap that was set aside earlier and place the threaded ends of the cap against the threads in the body of the flashlight. Exert a little pressure against the spring in the cap so the threads with 'catch' as you turn the cap clockwise. Continue to turn the cap until it is seated finger tight. 8.. This completes the battery replacement procedure for the Coast HX5 flashlight.

Q: Are these more of a blue/white daylight (high kelvin) or more of a incandescant "soft white", no regard to Brightness - just color?

Bright white 7000K, install the 3.7 volt lithium rechargeable, double the lumens, great fleshlight!
