4.5/5 wires to be replaced but good product otherwise
4.5 out of 5Very good speaker, works just as advertised in the description. Though i have to agree with everyone else: the wires just don't stay on. If you get these speakers i recommend desoldering the wires and replacing them because they break with the slightest bend. Other than that, great product, love it. I bought two and am going to make some kind of headphones with them. Impressing everyone i see with these.

Good little speaker
I use this speaker for my physics class. They are amazed that they can't hear any sound until they touch it to their head or anything else that will resonate. Like other reviewers I replaced the supplied wires with 24 gauge speaker wires. The supplied wires are too delicate and will fall off easily. This speaker will get hot if it is pushed too hard. I turn mine off every 5 minutes because I have it powered by a 15W amp.Overall this device works great for my needs

I love them. I place these on my skull with ...
I have been using these for months now. I love them. I place these on my skull with a head wrap. Works great! With a head wrap sound doesn't vibrate off any type of plastic. I just hear whatever I am playing in my head. Surprisingly these work great on my lower jaw. Surprisingly very good sound conductivity on the lower jaw. The only thing is that I haven't found a comfortable way to keep them strapped there.

This is a small but impressive speaker that produces good sound on most surfaces
This is a small but impressive speaker that produces good sound on most surfaces. It ran for me off an Arduino using the PWM output at 5V (I don't think this is a recommended configuration, though); however, it requires a 1-3 watt amplifier for input from a standard headphone jack or other such audio sources. The twisted wires are strong, and resisted being shoved (ill-advisedly) into a solderless breadboard. The connections on the housing did seem like they would be breakable when left exposed, so I secured them with two small dabs of hot glue.

Functional but wires break off
Functional but the solder connections are so small and weak that picking it up twice caused a disconnect of the wires.

Seriously Displeased
Honestly one of the worst products I've ever bought. I bought three and NONE of them worked without having to tap on the leads to make a solid connection to the body of the transducer. Who attaches leads with super glue? Seriously, I want to know why they weren't soldered. To avoid the inevitable "you did it wrong" comments, all of my impedances matched (8 ohms) and the highest power I input into the transducer was 1/2 Watt - well under what the transducer is rated for. I could get it to vibrate less than half of the time while hooked up to my audio source. Go back to the drawing board with this one and stop selling sub-par components.

AMAZING
Amazing piece of technology. Buy a small amplifier circuit board and make your own bone-conducting headphones, or turn anything into a speaker!

Good item, needs soldering.
Works about as well as you'd expect (not great sound quality, but good enough for my purposes). Like several of the other reviewers, the wires on mine broke off almost immediately, but I was able to solder them on more firmly in very little time, and the transducer still works fine. Great for applications where a standard-sized 3W speaker won't fit.
