Excellent product
No tomatoes, no problem. This is a great product to substitute for spaghetti sauce. Tastes delicious, if a bit pricey.

Delicious as a pasta sauce
This is a great substitute for the standard tomato based marinara sauce usually used on pasta in the U.S. I added some grated parmesan, some olive oil and some finely sliced basil. if you like you can add some heat with red pepper. Great pasta sauce, so much more flavor than standard tomato based sauces and very healthful.

8 jars ordered 5 different times. ALL arrived DAMAGED. I BLAME ZERGUT.
I love this stuff ever since I first had Chevapi when deployed to Bosnia. When I found out you could buy this stuff online I bought 4 jars. All but 1 arrived with the safety seal broken and 2 jars were leaking. This was not due to bad shipping it was due to bad manufacturing. The metal lids are designed in such a way that they clang together and dent the lids on one another breaking the seal (lids popped up). The next time I purchased I thought I was being smart by ordering only one jar. It still came with the lid dented and the seal broken. And the next order and the next order! Fix your jars Zergut! I shouldn't have to risk botulism from ordering your products because your item is damaged and is not returnable. Make your lids smaller then the sides of the jar. This isn't rocket surgery!

Delicious
This stuff is amazing. I found it in a specialty store years ago that I no longer reside near. I was happy to find Amazon carries it. I like to put it on club crackers and hummus sandwiches.

What a same
This is a great product. However, when it arrived the on the jar it says to reject it if the safety button had popped up, and it had indeed done so. So I do not think I should eat it. Apparently this item is not eligible for replacement or refund. So I will just have to toss it out. What a shame.

Broken jars
This arrived with two out of three bottles broken. Poorly packaged. The could roll around and hit each other. Love it but can't buy locally so tried to order this way.

You'll like it.
For me, the 3 important ajvar features are taste, texture and color. Zergut scores high on all those features. It is very mild. And there's just a hint of a sweet aftertaste. It's less salty than some other products. Once you start, it's hard to stop. Good stuff!

Great on toast with eggs on top! Wish you didn’t have to eat it in 3 days but you can freeze half.
