I have C5 Vette. Same issue with side view mirror as others had. A few years ago the chemical in mirror failed. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars to replace entire mirror assembly I purchased glass to fit over existing mirror. Glass I purchased fit perfectly & did the job. I had to provide the adhesive to attach over my existing mirror. This fix worked perfectly for years until 2 days ago when the replacement mirror fell off & broke. I purchased this product, not giving much thought to it.When it showed up today, 1st thing that impressed me was the packaging- the outer box was solid & looked very professional. When I opened the box I was further impressed by all the bubble wrap protecting the mirror. All this packaging had a quality look about it. Then I saw the more then ample real 3M adhesive mounting pads. Again very impressive & quality.Finally I got to the actual mirror. The mirror also had a quality feel more so then the original replacement mirror that had fallen off & broken.The fit is perfect. I especially liked the 3M adhesive pads. I trust 3M to make quality products & never had a 3M adhesive product fail me. The replacement mirror I bought years ago had no adhesive. I was left to figure out on my own what would work best. I used a Henkel CA (cyanoculate) and it worked for a few years till it didn’t & mirror fell off & broke. By including the 3M double sided adhesive, the guess work is out of the equation. This is an all around quality product.

Apologizes up front - I should have taken before and after pictures. That said - My story is this - I recently purchased a 2004 C5 Corvette with the power auto-dimming side mirror. Whatever the auto-dimming gel substance is in had separated, or whatever these do - but the top third of my mirror was clear and light like a normal mirror would look and the bottom two-thirds of the mirror was dark and distorted, like it was filled with really old oil. the glass was not broken. After researching option, I decided to try this replacement to GO OVER the top of my funky mirror. ( After you're done pricing the OEM replacement you'll understand) Ordered this - tested the fit and really liked what I saw. It fits perfectly over the existing mirror glass. If your mirror glass is broken and missing, this may not be for you. But - if your want a clean, good quality glass mirror to go on top of what you have - this will get the job done and give your good results. One note - I skipped the 3M double-sided adhesive pads that come with the mirror and mixed up some two-part epoxy so that the mirror had less stand-off from the original glass . I'm very happy with the results and will go with this until this.
