Not much of a ESP8266 unit
IC2 is NOT available on this unit which makes it poor as it is available on most other ESP8266 units. The E Book written for this is poor. When you look at the information provided in this E Book it does not show much of what this can do, more is talked about the LUA side of things, the book is wrong about what is listed in the tools drop down menu in the Arduino IDE.Go for another 8266 unit

Easy to setup and they work!
No issues. Work as advertised. No driver needed for windows 10. Good instructions supplied.

Nicley made
Very clean execution. Neat and easily read silk screen. A good cheap alternative to ESP32 for some tasks.

Easy set up for WLED flasing and light control
got three of these following a youtube tutorial which demystified the flashing of said unit, o I could control LED projects wirelessly using the WLED app on my phone. Next I'm going to set up a few other light projects and use the boards to communicate and synchronise

Easy to solder and works perfectly
Ordered this one as people report the pre soldered option aring damaged. Pins are well spaced out so anyone could solder this easily.Easy to flash and working perfectly as part of my rflink-MQTT-weewx setup.

Got it quickly but it was damaged. Will try again.
Would have been a well-executed shipment if the USB jack wasn't crushed. The box did not look damaged, and the static-control bag was completely sealed, so my guess is that it slipped through QC closer to manufacturing. Not a great sign of quality but I'll give it another go and report back.

Simple to use, very cheap, and well made.
I used one of the ESP8266 boards with a D11 temperature and humidity sensor. I have it running in my server cupboard so I get a text if the temperature suddenly increases.
