Intensive 2 Minute Keratin Reconstructor (16 fl oz)

I have 3c/4a hair, been using this product for a couple years now. I've been natural for about 7 years but never did protein treatments, and then wondered why I kept getting so many split ends and breakage -___-. I used conditioning products all the time, but my hair wasn't retaining any type of moisturizer - even water took a few minutes to really get through my hair shafts! It was so bad. Once I figured out the importance of protein treatments, I knew I would need something quick that I can incorporate easily into my weekly washing routine, because I have neither the patience or the time to regularly do a whole separate protein treatment routine in addition to washing. I browsed all the protein treatment products at my local Sally's and decided to give this a shot first because it was the quickest to use lol. Well this product most certainly fit the bill! Not only do I have less problems with split ends, my hair retains moisture so much better and my corkscrew coils are so well defined after ^_^! I end up using less product for conditioning/moisturizing and my hair is overall more manageable. The moisture retention benefit sticks for two weeks without another treatment, but I do it weekly to keep up definition and reduce frizz. I noticed a couple reviews saying that this stuff made their hair stiff or break off, which was a little bothersome. This is a PROTEIN treatment product, not a conditioner, not a shampoo. It is not designed to take the place of either of these, and it will make your hair stiff - that's what protein does. If you don't moisturize/condition your hair after using this, your hair will be dry and more prone to breakage than usual. So use the product as instructed and hydrate and condition your hair immediately after! I love this stuff, it's done wonders for the manageability and texture of my hair. I It's affordable, easy to use, and I recommend it to anyone with type 4 hair.

This hair protein treatment performs as expected and as advertised. If you wish to maintain healthy hair, particularly after a relaxer or chemical treatment, this is an excellent choice. It has a light, pleasant, and non-lingering scent. I personally use it every two weeks, or after my next wash following a relaxer, to maintain strength and minimize split ends. If your hair is damaged, the instructions recommend weekly use until it feels healthy. This product will reduce breakage and shedding, noticeably so after a few uses. As with any protein treatment, follow up with a moisturizing mask for at least five minutes to replenish moisture. Your hair will feel healthier, softer, and easier to detangle. This product will help maintain hair health and improve length retention. It is highly recommended for all hair types.

This is exactly what my hair needed! I have 3b/c curls, shoulder length, medium porosity and density. I color treat my hair but no bleach and no heat styling. My hair is quite protein sensitive and very dry so I was hesitant to include a protein treatment as it typically makes my hair feel like straw. After weeks of deep moisture treatments over the winter, my hair was getting over moisturized. Curls were getting limp and soft. So, I nervously ordered this and used it last night for the first time. First I clarified with Giovanni 50:50 sulfate free shampoo. Then I used this roots to ends and detangled with wide tooth comb. I left it in for about three minutes, then followed with a BounceCurl deep conditioner. I styled with moisturizing curl cream and gel and let air dry. I am blown away by the results after just one use. My hair is so shiny and the curls clumped with zero frizz. They sprung up into ringlets all over my head, too! I’m waking up this morning and the ringlets are still in place with no falling and minimal frizz. I might not even refresh my curls today. This did not leave my hair with the Brillo pad stiffness other protein treatments have in the past and I think it took twenty years off my curls. Highly recommend!!

left it in for 10 minutes. It did soften my hair a bit and made a lot of my curls come back. My hair did look a lot better and wasn't dry after using this, but I wouldn't say it stopped breakage in its track. I've only used it one time, and yes there was less hair fall out, which is good. but I'll give it a few more works before claiming it stopped the breakage but from what I can tell it has already helped a good amount. Great buy. can't decide if I should use it every week as a conditioner or once every two weeks, while deep conditioning with palmers on the weeks I don't use this

This keratin reconstructor is amazing! Fast shipping from the seller, five dollar star seller! I left it on my hair two or three minutes and my hair felt softer and less frizzy and very smooth. I love the scent. It’s a good value for the money and I appreciate this product.

So I've been using this product for about a year now on and off and after using it today I thought it was time to write a review. I have thin hair, but a lot of it and it has a natural kink/curl to it. Taking a stab at guessing my curl type, I'd say it's 2b - so it's manageable but frizzes easily. I had been using it about twice a week or less until about June of this year because I found other products I thought would work better and I also felt that my hair wasn't curling as much as I would like. So I left my bottle of ApHogee in the shower to sit until today. When I'm not using the product, my hair when I blow dry it has a bunch of little hairs standing up (frizz) and is very poofy and curls slightly - even when blow drying with a flat brush. When using the product, my hair when I blow dry doesn't have the little hairs standing up, is a bit less poofy and sits straighter. it helps stay less frizzy/curly when it's humid outside too. Even when visiting Florida in April of this year I found my hair didn't frizz and curl as much in all of the humidity as it usually did. I found it was harder to curl my hair when I was using it (I don't know if anyone else experienced this) but found that my hair felt smoother and somewhat healthier. I'd say follow the directions and what some people have said in other reviews where you don't use the product more than what is recommended. The effects of the product last for a bit so you don't need to use it everyday. How I use it is I shampoo, rinse, put in the ApHogee for about 2-3 minutes, rinse, then conditioner for good measure (my hair is dry from styling - I know, I'm bad). Hope this helps! I’m not a person to usually write reviews but after bleaching and dyeing my hair and being just about distraught by the damage it literally felt so much better after 1 use!!! I had just decided to give this a try before splurging on oleplex and this truly went above and beyond the expectations I had, I thought maybe halfway through the bottle I would notice a difference but after the first use my hair felt so much softer and stronger and even dried faster.

Im on the fence about this one. I have thick curly hair with a section of my hair that is currently heat damaged - this is why I purchased this product. After using it, my hair felt dry and like straw, seriously hated how it felt. However, it looked so shiny (super weird and contradictory, I know) and it almost seemed like my curl pattern sorta kinda returned (very slightly) in the section with the most heat damage. SO, I will continue to use it, but only one a month and I will have to use a serious moisturizing conditioner after every use. It not good but also good, so go for it - just know that you will need to condition soon after. I have added a picture of my hair for any one that would like a reference, you can see that I have heat damage, but you can also see that there seems to be a curl forming. Also, my hair likes shiny and dry at the same time.

Point important tout de même à souligner, ne l'utiliser qu'une fois/semaine pour éviter l'effet inverse. Facile et rapide à utiliser, très efficace si on ajoute un soin hydratant après. Ce n’est pas juste un effet cosmétique : On sent que le cheveu est réellement renforcé. Je recommande à 100 % pour cheveux très abîmés ou fragilisés. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Une pépite !

If you have bleach damage or other,this stuff will bring your hair back to life!!It saved my hair after a hairdresser nearly destroyed my hair with bleach!Will definitely always keep a bottle at hand,just in case!Very satisfied
