This is the second time I’ve ordered this Agar Bacteria Growth Kit for my child’s school science project, and once again it did not disappoint. The kit arrives carefully sealed, so the agar plates are completely free from contamination and fresh when you open them. I received four boxes (10ea) last week, and they each arrived within a day to my doorstep; excellently packaged. There was a lot of expectation as I had done a lot of buildup with my kiddos. Surely, I didn't want to let them down. I did not, mostly thanks to the fact that these pre-pours absolutely did not! Each box held ten, and they were packed as a single unit in a zip-loc bag, enclosed in bubble wrap. All of my forty, individual units were pristine. I have tasked my kiddos with personal "select four sources to sample, and culture" projects. I did nothing special with the environment: we all selected (and swabbed) four different objects, closed the lids, taped them closed, and waited. It took three days to produce the sample you see, here. Be mindful, as these things get a bit "whiffy" as the cultures develop . . . it's all mart of the Method, and provides a platform for further discussion. On Tuesday, I have a 4K 180X digital camera set-up ready to help my kiddos examine their petris in more detail (as well as a trinocular microscope we can then digitally all examine the particulars of our samples). Highly rated, complete satisfaction, and timely results all-across the board. Purchased twenty more yesterday. Don't hesitate, fellow Science Teachers! :)

Wow! What a nice kit! Did this with my 11 year old since he was interested in doing it, results were great! Setting it up was easy and simple, with no struggle at all. Would recommend to have a incubator before starting this to have a better place for bacteria to grow, but otherwise it is a wonderful kit!

Ordered two sets. Kept in cool dry home in the dark. Opened just outside the return window, and all plates in both kits were overgrown with microbes. Mind you they are all sealed and it says expiration 2029 and it is obviously 2025.

Plates showed up sterile. Only issue I see is that they are simply only in a ziploc bag and the covers are kinda loose which makes me think that unless I use them on the same day, they might become contaminated once I open that ziploc. Sealing them individualy would be simple and safe but we'll see.

These were so fun for my family and I to do together! Very simple to use with straight forward instructions! I would highly recommend this product!
