Does the trick
Bought these goggles for use around pottery and glass kilns. The intense light from an opened kiln is said to cause damage to the eyes and I think that's true. Besides, if nothing else, goggles like thses protect your face from the heat somewhat and put up a barrier to any damage from popping glass or clay.I chose this 3.0 shade because it's said this is the minimum 'green' density needed for short spurts of looking into a kiln if quick adjustments or some checking has to be done. I also purchased a pair of the same glasses in the 5.0 green shade to provide protection when viewing for longer periods of time. The increase in shade density is very pronounced going from 3.0 to 5.0. The 3.0 shades can be worn and used almost like sunglasses where the warer needs to keep them on to move around the production area. The 5.0 green is dark enough that waring them all the time would be somewhat unsafe in a low light area. These goggles have elastic straps to adjust for head size and will fit easily over your reading glasses. The putting on and taking off is a little awkward but once on the goggles have a soft liner that fits snug on the skin and is very confortable. The viewing area is also very large and clear.I consider the Uvex goggles I've decsribed above an excelent tool for eye protection and they are available at a very reasonable price compared to some brands Highly recommended.

Excellent product for Plasma Cutting
Use these for plasma cutting over prescription glasses, very comfortable and easy to put on/off. Vents keep air flowing and the goggles will not fog even on the hot humid days with sweat dripping off everything. I depend on products that proform under harsh conditions to acheive a quality product for my customers. Very happy with purchase.

Glasses and these goggles are pals
Hello my bespectacled friends! I wear giagantic glasses and figured I would not be permitted to both see and torch fire things BUT THESE GOGGLES ARE ENORMOUS! They totally fit over my glasses and they smell like cinnamon. I didn't spend a lot of time picking these out, but I think they were a good choice.

do not fit over glasses
These may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but they don't fit over my glasses (which are relatively small), so totally useless for my purposes (looking into a kiln to see melting progress with glass).

OK but not so good over glasses
Does not work so well over my prescription glasses, very tight fit over the glasses and tends to fog up. I am learning oxyey fuel welding and when things fog up it hard to see the "puddle".

Great choice
These goggles are safer and more comfortable than the glasses I have.
