The pictures in this book are STUNNING, and the information is very comprehensive, plus fun and easy to read. This is my go-to bathroom book this spring, lol! I sent a copy to my grandparents across the country as well, they love watching and learning about the birds out the kitchen window, and this book covers ALL the regions. Excellent purchase, highest quality.

Purchased this as a gift, and they found it very useful for identifying birds,.. and to battle the squirrels.

I'm not a birder myself & bought this book as a gift for 2 family members who are taking a deeper interest. For the person beginning to watch birds in the yard or local parks & countryside, I think this is a great start. Not limited to 1 region of USA. Explains identifying birds, selecting/offering food, placing proper birdhouses, buying equipment that can quickly get expensive. Chose this title because I know Nic & Randi (the authors)& the level of quality they expect of themselves in all their projects. PS - I never give 5-star ratings because then everyone argues about what they found wrong w/ the book, movie, restaurant, etc.

We love this book...It is so well written and easy to use. The photos are so beautiful that you can sit and just flip through and look at the pictures. It will become your favorite bird book. I have shown it to friends and everyone of them is either buying a copy for themselves, or they thought of someone they needed to buy it for as a gift!
