and you don't want to spend a lot of money, get this book! It's a hardback, spiral-bound book. When was the last time you've seen the two terms used interchangeably, lately? I don't know who this dude is or was, but Barnes and Nobles published his work! So, he had to be good! They're not a historically a book publishing company, although, they do sell books. Any who, after you familiarize yourself with the book, practice 2-4 pages a day... Eventually, you'll be able to play piano and improvise. All of the lessons are laid out in an easy non-boring, professionally written by a experienced college music teacher. This was one of my main music books while I was learning to play. Most serious artists end up using several texts while learning. Why did I like this book? The layout of the music and the pieces chosen isn't too difficult for beginners and well-seasoned artists, complete with etudes. Etudes are songs that teach us how to play and write music! And again, this book was written by a seasoned highly educated college music professor.When you get serious about your practice materials, you can't go wrong with this one.

Absolutely The Best piano instruction book for adults I have ever found!( and I have tried at least 5) Mr Humphries treats his readers as if they are intelligent ADULTS ! Also, the lessons move you right along. A great book and both Purchase and delivery were quick and as promised, as was the condition of the book and cd. I highly recommend this amazon seller.
