One Of The Year's Top Investing Books
If you had to choose just one investment book to read this year, this could be it. As publisher of [...] widely published veteran market advisor John Nyaradi has provided a comprehensive must-read guide for independent traders/investors who are struggling to stay profitable in today's treacherous markets.Super Sectors: How To Outsmart The Market Using Sector Rotation, gives you all you need to know about of how to get started and prosper via ETF sector rotation. In essence, Nyaradi gives us a relatively simple way to turn the challenges of ever-changing markets to our advantage.Included in "Year's Top Investment Books" in the 2011 Stock Trader's Almanac, Super Sectors provides useful background on ETFs, the pros/cons of each sector, basic technical tools, trading strategies, and psychology - really a masterpiece of overview of sound investing and trading with plenty to learn and review for those on all levels of expertise. One of the hallmarks of a great teacher or book is that it provides direction for further study and growth that leads to independent thinking. These include:Chapter 20 - Ask the Experts: Insights and Advice From Today's Top Investors, Traders and Managers. In addition to introducing readers to a variety of potential mentors, the interviews provide concise insights into their decision making process and perspective.Larry Connors- Tradingmarkets.com & author of multiple best selling booksDr. Marc Faber- The Doom, Boom, and Gloom Newsletter & author of multiple top selling booksKeith Fitzgerald- of Money Map Press and Money Morning news serviceTodd Harrison- CEO of Minyanville.comCarl Larry- President of Oil Outlooks and OpinionsTimothy Lutts- Cabot Heritage Corp NewslettersTom Lydon- President of Global Trends Investments and top ranking seekingalpha.com contributorJohn Mauldin- Thoughts From The Frontline newsletter, book author and top ranking seekinalpha.com contributorRobert Prechter- The leading Elliot Wave authority and author of 14 booksCliff Wachtel- Fxinsights.com, Chief Analyst at avafx.com and ranking contributor on seekingalpha.com, forexfactory.com and other sites. Covers the big picture of all major global asset markets-stock indices, forex, commodities, bonds, with emphasis on the underlying forces that move all of these markets, how these markets affect each other and signal possible future market direction. Also spends a lot of time online trying to correct misunderstandings about the relationships between this markets that arise purported experts focus on only one market and thus miss the correlations one sees from studying the bigger international picture. As an analyst of global stocks indices, forex and commodities for AVAFX.com, I can especially appreciate how particular ETFs provide at least an initial much needed exposure to forex and commodities that independent investors and traders lack. Once they see what these markets can do for their portfolios, they'll be in a better position to explore these markets further. The better online forex brokers like avafx provide a wealth of free tools and educational materials. My only warning: do not let book's clarity and blessed lack of pretension fool you. It is densely packed with useful tools and ideas. Re-read it and take notes as needed to reap its full benefits.Disclosure: An interview with this author appears in the book.

Trouble with profitable trades? Get this book.
This book is totally written at my investing level. I feel it has something for anyone from beginner to a middle intermediate investor. My investing is now more organized, I have specific ways to pick stocks and check on them. From what he's written about, it has just opened doors for me at stockcharts.com and led me into why I would want this pick over that one. I have past experience with moderate success, but this has taken a big chunk of the mystery out of it.I first found it as an ebook through my library, but partway through I knew I needed to get it for myself (or copy all the pages). He has lots of charts and examples and it's a lot easier to read with the actual book in hand. He's big on Point and Figure charts, which I've never known anything about. Now I feel they are adding one more level of personal confidence on every purchase. He also shows us how to score purchases with different indicators, and he's adamant about having stops in place, and to quit checking your account all the time.In the past I've invested with long term "all data" or "ten year" charts from BigCharts.com, along with price chart patterns. He doesn't talk about that, but I've added it myself as one more scoring indicator. It's an easy read book. Could be a little advanced if you don't know anything about the stock market, but it certainly should be one of your first books. Well worth the money.

worthless book except for beginners
I trade as a second job and read over 80 books about trading and investing so far in my career. if you read other books about sector rotation, like john murphy s intermarket analysis and Laidi s " currency trading and intermarket analysis " and were expecting something similar dont buy this book. is has only very superficial information about sector rotation. the rest of the book is about common sense investing rules, some trading tips and some quotes about sun tzu. they are all worthwhile for a beginner who just started trading but thats it. the chapters about 5 sector supertrends are more than obvious. who doesnt know that china is growing a lot and will consume a lot of commodities? please. I did not pay to hear that. This author poorly matched the contents of his book with the title. Other readers should be warned. If you want to know about sector rotation, and i say that because this is exactly my trading style, you should read the above mentioned books or Sam Stovall s " sector analysis" . Apart from that you have Martin Pring's newsletter and thats about it. no more worthwhile reading in the market about sector rotation. sorry for my spelling I am so pissed of because i bought this book that I am writing this review from my cell.

I'm Sure there is a better Book
I agree completely with the review of Mr. Michael Silva in that this book is not what it was advertised as. I was expecting a good book on switching from sector to sector based upon some objective anaylsis. This book did not provide it and I am not at all satisfied with the product.

new to ETFs,this is a book for you
A way of trading that is conservative and easy to understand.John stresses the fact that investing is for the long haul. I also went to his site and received the trial newsletter.Using all this information helps to understand ETFs for those of us new to ETFs.

Overly techincal.
Super Sectors contained useful information for the average investor but was overly technical making it rather trying to read, at times.
