BLACK+DECKER Orbital Sander, 5-inch Disc Sander, Corded (BDERO600)

This sander works great. I ordered a whole bunch of sanding discs for my old craftsman sander, but I realized that my old sander does not accept the hook and loop (velcro) like most sanders nowadays do. Since all I can seem to find easily is the hook and loop design, I decided to buy a new sander. I do not use a sander very often, but when I do I want to make sure it will hold up and work great. Black and Decker is a cheaper name, but still a well-known name so I bought this one. I can safely say that I am satisfied, especially for the price.I like how there isn't an on off switch. The whole top piece is the switch! This makes it so easy to turn on and off and you can also lock it on as well. This is an 8 hole sander and most sanders and discs seem to be 8 hole anyway. The only drawback I see and its not a huge deal, but it is a pain in the butt to totally clean out the dust collector. I was shaking the thing out forever and dust was still coming out. I ended up using my air compressor to clean it out and that seemed to work good. I have used this on some boards that I glued together and it worked well. I was sanding for maybe an half an hour each time I worked on my project and I have no complaints. It is a very simple and affordable sander and I would definitely recommend this to any DIYer.

The black and decker random orbital sander works fine and is long lasting. However, i ended up ruining TWO of these units when I went to replace the rubber portion of the unit (eventually the rubber part of the Sander can wear out so it does not grip the sandpaper as effectively. The replacement part was missing four holes so when I installed it, it instantly broke four pins that keeps rubber part in place. I did not realize the first time it happened that that was the problem. So a year later when I had worn out the rubber part on my second black and decker random oribital sander I used the second of the two defective replacement rubber center parts I had ordered and instantly ruined my second Black and Decker Random Orbit Sander. That is when I realized what had happened. It's not Black and Decker's fault I bought third party defective replacement parts, However I wish Black and Decker would more aggressively price their replacement parts so people don't end up buying third party defective replacements parts.

I like this tool, Black and Decker have improved their tools. Easy to maintain. I work my tools hard and keep them clean, Black and Decker works every time I use it.

So far this is great. it is inexpensive and gets the job done. I went back and forth on my decision to buy a less expensive sander or shell the money for a better brand. If I have any issues with this sander I can replace it twice for the money I would spend on a Dewalt or other brand. There is plenty I feel like people don't know how to use an orbital sander and apply too much pressure while using and that is why the pad breaks off because there is too much torque. Take your time, do it right and this sander works like any other I have used. Great buy for the money.

I looked at several sanders before purchasing this one. Pneumatic, electric, large, small, cheap, expensive, etc. In the end, I went with this Black+Decker because I own several other Black+Decker products and have always been very happy with them. This little sander is no exception! I have already used it extensively and I like it so much that I just purchased one for my dad as well.

My first sander, easy to put on various sanding discs, comfortable to grip and use, not too noisy, dust bag is convenient and easy to empty and replace. Used it to sand a wood picnic table from a yard sale, now it looks great.

El producto en sí es bueno, y fácil de utilizar, más con el accionador superior que tiene el cual facilita mucho su encendido y apagado, lo que no me agradó fue el empaque utilizado para su envío ya que era una simple bolsita y la caja de la pulidora llegó toda maltratada, supongo se debe también que fue enviada desde lejos, pero esperaba mejor protección o algo de protección.

Me gusto mucho la manera en la que funciona, la parte negra de arriba es como un botón que al presionar es cuando entra en funcionamiento y al momento de soltar ya apaga automáticamente. Se siente bien hecha y de buena calidad

Pretty good sander. It certainly does the job. The only thing i'd change is the suction power of the vacuum. Mediocre at best
