Mitani Classic Chicken Salt 200g

It's fantastic. If you're Australian you get it. It's very tasty and makes everything you eat tasty too. You can use it on everything, I do, in everything I cook I put this beauty in. It's great value for money, lasts ages, reverb when you use it all the time like I do.

heard a few things about chicken salt, so decided to take the plunge, amazing stuff, tastes a bit like curried salt, but is really really nice, buy it, you wont be disappointed

I missed the flavour of chicken salt on chips from Australia. After the Anchor brand chicken salt from the last care package ran out, I decided to see if there was any possibility of purchasing it here in the UK. Um, the price of the Anchor brand was exorbitant to say the least. Though both are imported from Australia, the price of Mitani seemed far more reasonable. I'm not sure about this brand, though, as it doesn't quite taste the same as the Anchor brand my sister sends me. It doesn't quite hit that umami quality to which I've become accustomed. Admittedly, it does add more flavour to chips than regular salt, but something is missing, IMO. Unlike other reviewers, even after a year, mine has not clumped. Perhaps a storage issue? As I cannot afford my regular brand, I'll stick with the Mitani chicken salt for now.

Defiantly adds a lot of taste to chips but it’s more of an extreme salt than a chicken taste. A little does go a long way so it is value for money but it depends on what you are looking for. It’s quite versatile you can put it in a lot of things but maybe I should have looked more into the ingredients as some contain actual chicken stock which it what I wanted.

I heard about this seasoning on an Australian channel on YouTube and had to try it. It does not disappoint, it makes fries taste amazing, and from what I can tell, it would be good on onion rings, chicken, and other fried or battered foods as well. Absolutely delicious and a great substitute for salt as it adds so much more flavor. This is one of those seasonings that I want to take with me to restaurants so I don't miss having it when eating out. 5 stars all the way!

Tastes great. Yes, you can use it on chicken. Although, watch out. This is very much salt and not just seasoning. So don't dump the stuff on like a pure seasoning.

(My rating is based purely on the flavor of the seasoning and not the high price, since I know it's an imported item) this is an excellent seasoning! And it tastes great on so many things, especially meat/chicken/fries/etc. It reminds me a lot of Lawry's Seasoned Salt which is my favorite. This has a similar savory and addictive flavor. It's fantastic and the only reason why I wouldn't get it again is because of the high price. But if this was available around me I'd probably be alternating between it and Lawry's.
