Great quality at a very good price
Funny thing is when you work on European cars, you always need a 10 mm socket or two. Equally astonishing is that you lose them often. So I keep buying 10 mm hex sockets, and some are of very questionable quality. This one is at least as good as my old Craftsman socket, but half the cost. Let us see if I will lose it before I can assess long-term quality...

Tekton for the Win
Tekton is definitely in the top 5 of the best hand tools available overall. When you factor in the price is quality I would say they are top 3 and when you then look at how fast and easy the warranty process is compared to ANY other brand, they are the current #1 hand tool. If I had Elon Musk money, yeah I would probably buy exclusively SnapOn but in the real world that I live and work in, buying 10 times as many tools for the same $1k spent is a big deal so I will continue to buy Tekton. The quality is top tier, the durability is basically on par with SnapOn (lower but not significantly, we aren'tbreaking Tekton any more frequentlythan our tool truck stuff), and the warranty is absolutely FASTER and easier than SnapOn or anyvof the tool trucks. I absolutely HATE that the made in USA tools are no longer reasonable prices to compete with the imports and if the prices were still only double or triple the price of quality inports then I would still be shopping the tool trucks BUT, the price disparity is out of hand and no longer justifiable. Now as for this particular socket, being 5.5mm I will almost certainly never break it but looking at it side by side with an old USA Craftsman, the Tekton is definitely a higher quality tool. Comparing it to my 6mm SnapOn it is obviously that the plating is not quite as nice but other than that it is on par.

Exactly what I needed for my LiFePO4 batteries with M8 battery posts
After a lot of discussion with Gemini, trying to understand what kind of torque wrench I needed to buy to ensure my LiFePO4 battery cables are tightened properly, I was a little more clear on why the torque wrenches used for working on cars (most of them 1/2 inch drive) are not acceptable. And once I narrowed down which torque wrench I needed to buy, then I had to find a deep socket to fit down over the battery post that would fit. I was looking at the crowfoots for my torque wrench, and they were so expensive I just couldn’t bring myself to order one. When I saw this socket was $5, not $35+ for one crowfoot, I bought it in desperation so I’d have something to work with. And it fits! And it works for what I need! Hallelujah!

Good socket
This socket worked and fit great. Not a lot of stress was put on it but no reason to think it couldn't handle it. The etching is good. Seems totally durable. Just a bit shorter than my old Craftsman deep sockets which was actually a benefit for the need. So far I'd buy this brand again. Solid mechanics tools are tough to find today and I will not pay the tool truck dealers' pricing! That's just outright robbery!!!

This product was and is used for some axle nuts on aircraft such as Cessna 172, Beech 1900D, and Cirrus airplanes to name a few. And it was much more affordable than ordering it from either Snap-on or Mac tools

Good socket. Needed for plastic steering wheel column cover in my 2001 Saturn SC1. Is good.
