Not vented, tank pressure to build up.
This gas cap fits the filler neck, seals like it should and looks good. Unfortunately, it does not vent tank pressure. I have a mid 1960s truck and after installing this gas cap, my truck started spewing fuel out of the carburetor overflow just sitting in the driveway. The problem is the cap is not vented and gas tank pressure builds up in the heat with nowhere to vent, so it was pushing fuel past the float in the carburetor.

This is a perfect fit for a 67-72 Chevrolet/GMC pick up. It’s a shorter cap that creates a tight seal. Rubber is good. This is the review I was looking for when purchasing. Shorter style gas cap
