Yes they don't lock, but that just means don't be reckless. They are great for opening things, small cuts. They stay sharp for longer then i expected. Okay, so this not a bowie knife, but it is the perfect keychain knife. When folded it is nice and thin and not that heavy, so it does not weigh your keys down when they are in your ignition. Also, the clasp on the knife is very sturdy and unlike many other keychain clasps it has not broken. Some many other keychains accessories I have had were lost because the clasp broke and they fell off. The blade itself is pretty thin. but sharp enough for the tasks you need it for. The tip of the blade is very pointy which is good if you need to make a small hole in something. The price is also great breaking down to about $1.60 per knife. They are great little gift for people and come in handy for small tasks.
