will this cable work with the iphone 12 pro?

Not if you use an Apple case. The lightning tip is surounded by to much plastic to fit. VERY poor design, makes this cord useless.

You likely have the wrong charger. This is a USB C cable, which requires a usb c charger or a usb c/thunderbolt 3 port on a computer. The old charging bricks aren't compatible with this cable. Has anyone used a cable from another company? is this cable better?

This cord is okay. I've ordered more than one, and some have lasted and some have failed. They're okay, not great. However, the OEM cables from Apple aren't very durable, either.
