C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste for Dogs and Cats, Poultry, 2.5oz

My dogs LOVE this toothpaste. I got the poultry flavor. They love it so much, I have to be sure to keep them somewhat separated when we are teeth brushing or they try to steal each other’s finger brush. One of my dogs has fish breath and I was hoping that brushing would help. So far, no changes, however it’s only been a month or so. I’m sure with continued use, things will improve. For me, the toothpaste doesn’t smell disgusting and I like that it’s in an aluminum tube so it’s easy to dispense. Hooray!

This toothpaste was recommended to make teeth brushing more tolerable in cats. It seems to work because my cat looks forward to his dental brushing now. The poultry flavor looks like the winner here and my cat cannot resist licking the stuff from the tube and toothbrush. I don't mind the scent personally and in fact, I don't notice any weird smell at all. It helps to reduce resistance during the brushing and that's what matters. The tube looks like it'll last for a while and I appreciate the enzyme ingredients that reduce plaque. Only time (and the next vet visit) will tell if the enzymatic action works in the long term.

I think this is probably a very good product. But the smell of the poultry flavoring made me gag. And I don’t gag over much. I run a rescue and I’ve seen some pretty horrific stuff in my time. So I gave it to a friend. She agreed the poultry sent was kind of unpleasant, but it didn’t bother her like it does me, but I’m a vegetarian. And her dog absolutely loves the toothpaste so maybe the dog should write the review and not me.

What a terrific toothpaste for dogs! I use it daily with a finger tooth brush on our golden retriever. We noticed a remarkable difference in her breath by the third day! Her teeth didn’t look awful but her breath was the worst. Not anymore!! She loves the taste and doesn’t fight me at all over brushing. A little goes a long way too. It is well worth the cost since the paste lasts. It’s certainly effective and I highly recommend.

I bought this toothpaste for my DOG, and it's been GREAT so far. The poultry flavor makes brushing much easier since my dog doesn't seem to mind the taste. Ich habe mich wirklich ewig lange mit dem Thema Zahnpflege beim Hund beschäftigt und alles verglichen, was es so im Tierfachmarkt gibt. Die Sachen dort sind nicht unbedingt schlecht, aber diese Zahnpasta hier ist für mich wirklich das Nonplusultra, sozusagen der Ferrari unter den Zahnpflegen. Besser geht’s eigentlich nicht. ​Warum genau diese? Ich habe mich ganz gezielt für die Virbac entschieden, weil die Enzyme laut meiner Recherche nach dem Putzen noch gut 10 bis 15 Minuten aktiv weiterarbeiten. Das heißt, der Plaque wird auch in den Zahnzwischenräumen und an Stellen, wo man vielleicht nicht perfekt hingekommen ist, noch nachträglich entfernt. ​Anwendung & Akzeptanz: Die Handhabung ist super easy und die Akzeptanz ist extrem hoch meinem Hund scheint sie richtig gut zu schmecken, was das Ganze total stressfrei macht. Ich nutze sie in Kombination mit einer ganz weichen Kinderzahnbürste, das klappt hervorragend. ​Meine Routine: Ich versuche, jeden Abend zu putzen, damit die Enzyme über Nacht lange im Maul bleiben können. Danach gibt es auch nichts mehr zu fressen (Wasser hat er natürlich zur freien Verfügung, aber er trinkt danach meistens nichts mehr) und dann geht’s direkt ins Bett. Das Beste: Da die Enzyme so gut nachwirken, ist es kein Weltuntergang, wenn man mal einen Tag auslässt, weil man selbst krank oder verhindert ist. Zur Not kann man sie dem Hund auch einfach mal nur schnell auf die Zähne schmieren, wenn die Zeit zum richtigen Putzen fehlt. ​Das Ergebnis: Mein Hund hat eigentlich keinen Zahnstein, nur an einem Zahn war mal ein ganz leichter Ansatz zu sehen. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Stelle durch das Putzen sogar wieder heller wird! Ob das jetzt nur an den Enzymen oder auch an der Zahnbürste liegt, ist schwer zu sagen, aber die Kombi wirkt jedenfalls Wunder. ​Fazit: Wer seinem Hund wirklich was Gutes tun will und eine Zahnpasta sucht, die mehr macht als nur gut zu riechen, sollte hier zugreifen. Ich bin restlos überzeugt!

I have used many different brands of dog toothpaste but this has been the most effective in terms of gum health and keeping plaque at bay. My dogs are quite eager to brush their teeth as the taste is evidently great.

Cats love the flavor ( i chose chicken ) They think its just another treat. As long as u dont stress them over it they will willingly lick it and u could gradually add some brushing movements. I also love how the expiration date is three years away and the tube is bigger than i expected
