This is listed as little gourd in English and Tondey Kai in Kannada in the Bangalore HopCom’s rate list. I think it is same as parwal in Hindi but not sure. Google parwal and you will have an answer

It's kundru not parwal?

In kannada it is called Tondey Kai. It is used to add to sambar to enhance taste. Is is also seasoned and made into a dry side dish in a typical South Indian manner. I think it’s name is Kundru is in Marathi. In English it is referred to as Ivy gourd. A similar vegetable which has punted ends is called parwal. This vegetable has rounded ends and is green in colour.
