Great quality - Great price - Just barely fits my Springfield XDM
The minute I opened this product, I could immediately tell how great the quality was. It's very sturdy, great quality material and the padding on the inside definitely protects my gun. I originally purchased both the medium and large pistol rug because I wasn't sure which size was suitable. I have a Springfield XDM 5.25 with the Streamlight TLR-4 attached.I first tried the large pistol rug and it was almost a laughing matter in terms of it's size; same great quality and build but ridiculously oversized. I obviously could've read the specs and figured this out without purchasing it, but for how inexpensive these rugs are, I wanted to test this myself, and with the Streamlight attached to my XDM, I wasn't sure the medium would work. To be fair, the large would've fit my XDM no problem but besides its unnecessary size, it also couldn't fit in my range bag, so I ended up returning the next day. The medium is the way to go.Although the quality of this product is great and does what I need it to do (which is keep my gun protected and use it for traveling to and from the range), the medium unfortunately just barely zips over the XDM, and I mean just barely. You definitely can't keep a magazine in and expect to close it, just will not happen. For some people, including myself, I don't keep the magazine in anyway when the XDM is in this pistol rug, so this doesn't bother me. So, with the magazine out, you definitely have to use a little force to get that zipper closed, and it fits pretty much perfectly. There is no wiggle-room so you know your gun is fully protected in that pouch. For the price, pick one of these up!

Great bag fits my P226 RX 4.4" with Optic. It is a little Bulky though
Great bag and good materials. Main thing i'm sure people are reading to know is what fits. I am able to get my P226 Legion RX to fix which is 4.4" and has a red dot. It doesn't fit with the barrel parallel to the crease, but with the muzzle and the bottom of the mag hitting the crease and the optic around the curve. Without the optic it would probably fit the way it is supposed to. Either way its great, the crease fits in your palm zip it and put the gun in upright. The only downside if you perceive it this way is it is bulky. I'd imagine that is a plus for some, but if you were to try and fit 2-3 of these in a medium range bag it would take up a lot and be overkill on protection. I mainly wanted this so not get scratched up in the middle of my bag along with mags and tools. It likely would not fit into a sleeve to offer extra protection as it is thick. Even without a gun it might be 1-2" thick.

Perfect fit for compact frame (4" barrel) semi-autos
Medium = compact frame semi-auto. It's a near perfect fit for my pair of semi-autos.I couldn't decide between this and the Uncle Mike's medium pistol rug, so I bought both. See pics for comparison of sizes. The pouch is larger than the medium rug and less than half as thick when empty. This pistol pouch expands a bit when things are placed inside. The rug is a bit more of a rigid form which deforms the lower density inner foam when zipped up with a pistol inside. The difference in thickness when loaded isn't as significant, though the pouch is still the thinner of the two. It's easier to fit a compact semi-auto into the pouch, but the rug is going to offer better protection against drops (much thicker padding). The rug is also less wasted space being a near exact fit. As my primary use is simply to carry pistols to and from the range I'm not sure which I'll be using. I'll end up using both to start as I have two pistols. I expect the pouch is easier to pack into a range bag because it's a bit thinner, but the lack of wasted space of the rug definitely makes it easier to toss on top. I guess it depends on how I end up packing the range bag.Pistols in photos are HK VP9 and SW 40VE. Photo comparing thickness uses one pistol in each case.

My Sig P226 40cal Fits. Will yours?
I read through a lot of posts when I was looking at pistol rugs, and reading when people would say their gun did or did not fit. So I decided to post pictures of how my fits so you can actually see it and tell you what I have that fits...I have a Sig P226 40cal S&W and the gun fits nicely in the case WITH a magazine laying in there too. I can even leave the slide locked back and it will still fit (no extra room though). It probably has .5" room left at the barrel and slide/hammer, and slightly less than .5" at the bottom of gun. In terms of width, or how thick the gun can be, it is snug when I zip it up. I wouldn't recommend a gun much wider than mine, as you can see it leaves indentations on the inside; so you know it's a snug fit. Its seems to be of very solid construction, the zipper and all the stitching feels and looks solid. I was weary of the material and product considering the price for this but I am very happy with it. I would have easily paid $20 for it (expensive price for just a pistol rug). I really like the hard nylon outter shell of the case as well, it gives it a little extra bump protection! Also, here is the link to the gun I have in here so that you can see the dimensions and compare it to your gun's dimensions:[...]
