Very nice reading glasses!
My experience:I went to an optometrist and received a prescription pair of progressive glasses to help reading things up close. I was not overly happy with the product they made for me, but they work.I bought these and was shocked by how well they fit and improved my near-vision. I was really impressed and will probably be changing optometrists!

Good quality glasses
Update few days later 3-8-24The two sides of the glasses have a very small spot welded that holds the two pieces of metal together, and I was very disappointed that just from putting on the glasses, the right side broke right off. The spot weld is so small that you can clearly see it just wasn’t enough to hold it on. AMAZON gladly set up an exchange and is sending me a new pair and I will send these back, but it’s just a hassle of returning the item and I’m just hoping it doesn’t happen again as I’ve purchased a few pairs of these to put all around the house. Will update again if they break again I’m hoping it just happened on the second pair that I ordered and it won’t happen again. My parents turned me on and gave me a 1.5 X pair of glasses for Christmas as cheaters and they are very comfortable. I ordered these because I’d like glasses throughout the house in each place I could be at and I love these new ones I ordered even more than the last pair. Beautiful frame, nice and sturdy.Definitely recommend

Servicable if not quite perfect.
Almost perfect. I have increasing difficulty reading anything, and just recently began having difficulty seeing print on a computer screen. Since I just returned to the workplace after a few years of retirement, I find it difficult to do computer work with my prescription bifocals. My distance vision has been improving and is nearly perfect, so that I no longer need glasses to drive. For close work, I am blind as a bat. Presbyopia--or literally translated, old eyes. These glasses are a big help. I did not know which strength to order, so I picked the middle one at 1.75 with the hope that the top third of the lens would be close to zero magnification. With 1.75 magnification, I can read very small type on a printed page at 16 to 20 inches, and very small fonts on a computer screen comfortably at 18 to 28 inches. The combination is perfect for entering data from a printed page onto a computer spread sheet which had been a major problem. The top third of the lens is OK for looking at a person seated across from me at my desk, although I don't need glasses for that. Unfortunately, the rest of the office is a blur. I can look over the glasses, but feel I shouldn't have to. I cannot use them for driving or distance vision of any kind.I would have preferred that the top third be zero magnification--window glass, but this type of eye ware seems to be unavailable with that option. These are not the most comfortable frames ever--on me they are a little tight, and the style is only OK on my face. It would be really difficult to select perfectly fitting and optimally flattering glasses when purchasing on line. Nevertheless, I am not unhappy. The quality of the frames suggests that they will be durable.Found a solution for the uncomfortable nose pieces on Amazon. These silicone covers solve the problem at low cost: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CAUYZY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great value. Almost as good as prescription
These are so much better than regular readers where you have to pull the glasses on and off constantly if you are doing a mix of close-up and distance work. I can wear these around the house, at my desk, or when doing projects and they look good too. My only complaint is that the nose pieces have a tendency to break quite easily

Partly great, partly maddening
These are my second (and third) pair of Foster Grant multifocus. For a person who just needs readers to combat standard age-related vision deterioration, I've noticed these are the smoothest progressive readers I've been able to get my hands on, and I'm through about 5 different makers already. These have the most usable transition from distance to reading, without notable blur along the way. The top is almost zero, but does exactly what I need for things 3-5 feet aways, while the bottom is perfect for reading my phone or something else up close. The problems start with the glare. As others have noticed, these definitely do not have any kind of anti-glare coating. When I use these on video calls, folks can pretty much see a mirror image of my computer screen. Other cheap non-progressives that I have are much better about this so it would've been nice if these had it.The other problem seems to be attention to detail on the packaging side. I've ordered the matte gunmetal version now twice, and both times received the black ones. Amazon was great about helping me out, but it looks like the manufacturer is actually packing the black ones in the gunmetal package, complete with the gunmetal SKU on it. I'm not about to order a third pair, so if I see Foster Grant in a store I'll see if the gunmetal version is there, but since Amazon thinks they're shipping me the right color, I can't really ask them for more help. I'm wearing the black ones now, but they're a bit too intense for my face. Would've liked to get my hands on the right color.
