Perfect!
Exactly what I needed and they're dishwasher safe on the top rack. They're not spill-proof, so keep that in mind.

excellent
I store excess homemade soups, spaghetti sauce and other foods in pint mason jars in my refrigerator. Rather than using steel lids, which needed to be replaced every time, I had been saving peanut jar lids and using them. One day in curiosity, I checked out Amazon to see if I could buy the right sized plastic lids in quantity. It turned out that I could, and these are what I found. I have been using them for several years and have been very pleased. Since jars and lids that are to be stored in the refrigerator do not need to be sterilized, just washed, I have been using them over and over. Last month, having run low on pint mason jars, (some had been given away filled with soup or sauce to my friends and some had fallen on my concrete floor and broke.) I went out and bought a dozen more. Naturally, I immediately sent to Amazon for more plastic lids. Oh, you might be wondering what happened to the old peanut jar lids. I happened to have a lot of cacti on my windowsills planted in 21/2- or 3-inch pots. It is impossible to find pot saucers for these small pots. The smallest pot saucers are made for 4-inch pots. It turns out that plastic mason jar lids are perfect for these little pots. They easily fit on most windowsills and still leave room to open and close the window.

I tossed the annoying inserts and LIDS DON'T LEAK! Love!
When I first got these lids in the mail, I thought I'd made a big mistake. I was deeply disappointed at the insert that goes in them. It is a thin, flexibly stiff plastic disc. And it is a PAIN to dig out of the lids from below the threads. I have to get a butter knife to get a tip under the disc and lift it out. Also, even though the lids are dishwasher safe, of course the inserts have to be hand washed. What a royal pain. After struggling with the inserts for a bit, I finally decided to just toss them. I'd rather be careful not to let my jars leak than have to deal with the lids. To my excitement and amazement, the LIDS DON'T LEAK AT ALL--EVEN WITHOUT THE INSERTS! Hallelujah. Add that these are easy to clean and pretty cheap and this is an all-around win. BUY THESE.FYI, I bought these lids specifically for juicing. Because we have a slow, cold-press juicer, I can make a big batch of juices to last several days. Metal lids aren't good for juicing, as some juices can interact with the metal. Plus, the metal rusts and is a pain. PLUS, the separate lid-and-ring combo is annoying and messy. This sent me on the hunt for these babies. However, even though juicing and using these lids for liquids was my primary purpose, I actually use these on all my mason jars. I keep homemade spice mixtures (cheaper and I can eliminate those nasty chemical additives) in mason jars and these lids are so easy, clean-looking, easier to label, and seem to be airtight. I put my honey in mason jars. Well, I put lots of stuff in mason jars and these are just great. I will be interested to see if they work with my food saver jar attachment. I plan to update and add pictures.

Not for canning
These lids are great for storage of items on the counter, in the fridge or for taking to friends. They are quite thin, not like the plastic lids sold with Ball jars.

Just what I needed
Ahhh! The wonderfulness of jelly season! You always end up with more than you need, or - sometimes you plan it that way for gifts. 2-part lids are a pain in the rump for anyone when it comes to closing a jar post-canning, but especially for non-canners. That’s when these lids shine. Before I give jars away, I take the ring off and put one of these in place over the original lid. When you open the jar, you now have an easy to use lid to reclose it for refrigerator storage. The lids are also invaluable for jars that are used for storage items (kitchen, hobbies, etc.). For your convenience, the lids are available in both regular and wide-mouth sizes. These lids have a great price point, so you won’t cringe when they go out the door ;) . Just remember: these lids don’t replace the metal lids and rings required during the canning process, but replace them after the item is opened. Have fun!

Great alternative to the metal canning lids/rings for storage in canning jars
These are just what I was looking for. As a canner, food preserver and crafter these find many uses in my home. Though you can't actually use these for canning, they are perfect for recapping a jar after opening it- no more rusty metal lids in the fridge. I also use canning jars for dry food storage, packing snacks for the road/lunch box, and storing small craft items- these lids are exactly what I was looking for for capping all the jars. Labeling them is also simple- a sharpie right on the lid can easily be erased with a little rubbing alcohol.I find the liner to be helpful in keeping excess moisture out of jars, keeping things like sugar from clumping and hardening. Now if I could just get this brand in wide mouth...

Not really reusable
These will work great with dry stuff but they do tend to stain with things that normally would stain. Keep it tight and it’s pretty leakproof.

I am very pleased with these lids
I am very pleased with these lids. Each lid has an insert that allows a very secure fit. I have used these for my habanero pickles because the metal lids tend to rust after a few months. I have also used them for my freezer jams. You cannot sterilize them in boiling water but this is not a problem for me. For freezer jams and pickles, I soak bottles and lids for a few hours in hot soapy water with some bleach added. Then I sterilize the bottles in boiling water then just before filling the jars with the jam / pickles, I drop the plastic lids in the hot water for a few minutes. I have never had any mold growth using this method.

Good value, but not as good quality as Bernardin.
EDIT April 2022: updated from 4 to 5 stars. Have been using these steadily for 2-3 years now. I put them in the dishwasher, on 125ml glass canning jars in the kids' lunches for yogurt, in the freezer for tiny leftovers. None have cracked and they're holding up very well. I removed the liner pieces from them a long time ago and don't bother with them. There's a small amount of leakage with yogurt in packed lunches (the watery whey that separates out easily from homemade yogurt) if the kids don't get the lids on perfectly, but it's minimal. I no longer have a preference between this brand and the Bernardin ones that I also still have.------------Used to buy the Bernardin lids; they've gotten hard to find so I purchased these when I started running low. Much cheaper price and you get a ton, the plastic is definitely thinner and less sturdy than the Bernardin lids, and the liner on the inside is kinda hokey. The Bernardin lids didn't have a liner but did well with most things (vinaigrettes were not 100% but still survived shaking fairly well) so I'm not sure if the liner is strictly necessary for these or not.

Great product!
I love these! They are much cheaper than buying them from Ball or Bernadin. The only thing is they are not completely airtight like using the original metal ones, but that being said, the metal ones always rust. I recommend using them for pantry and general storage as opposed to canning.

Great lids, good price
These work great for open jars.

Bon produit
Le plastique est plus ou moins épais donc pourrais se casser facilement mais ferme les pots de façon étanche. J'aime bien.

Love it
It a great product! I wasn't sure it would actually be leak proof but it is! I also had seen some comments about how hard it was to clean, but I tough it was easy. It's like taking the piece of plastic room a bottle cap.
