OverseaFortune (C3A) DC/DC Converter Regulator 12V to 5V 3A 15W Car Led Display Power Supply Module

First, please ignore my star rating because I didn't get to properly evaluate it.The seller shipped this very quickly, and its a pretty good price.Not 5 minutes after opening the package, I wasn't paying enough attention and connected 12V to the yellow wire (thinking along the lines of PC power connectors) and burned it out.DO NOT APPLY VOLTAGE TO THE OUTPUT WIRESYes, I know, they are clearly labeled, but I wanted to write this warning for others because it's an easy mistake to make. (at least I thought so)It would be nice if the internal wiring prevented it from being destroyed by back-current.

I used this to hard wire my media player for my car, which had a transformer for the 5vdc needed for the device.

I needed to reach 5v but this only reaches 4.77v and this wont work. my project needed a clean 5v. I did many test and could never get it above 4.77v

This little guy is amazing...I'm using it to power a transmitter that takes 5V, but I wanted to use a 12V gel cell for long life. This does the voltage conversion flawlessly, doesn't get hot (not even warm), and works every time. Great product!
