It just works good. Puts my light in the perfect position.
If you're using an old light obviously these fit your flashlight better than just about anything out there. I love the position they put your flashlight in on your firearm. No matter where I mount it it seems to be just in the right spot just at the right angle for me to access it. There's other weapon light mounts that I wanted to like more than this. But none of them put the light in the position that I wanted it to be in. So I ended up sending them back and I kept this one and ordered another. It doesn't feel quite as sturdy as some of the other brands, but it hasn't broke yet either so it must be sturdier than I think it is.

Simplistic, and secure.
I use this on the top rail of my AR to mount the light right up next to the gas block in the perfect position for my thumb to hit the switch. This is a very clever design. a single screw tightens both the flashlight and picatinny at the same time. In order to loosen it, you have to pull the spring-loaded screw head out to disengage it from a set of teeth in the mount, which to my estimation makes it impossible for the mount to work loose during use or while sitting in the closet. There is a smooth portion on top that would be great for sticking a pressure pad to, if that's your thing.

Affordable setup, some modification required.
So I couldn't get a decent answer to my question so I'm posting it myself, having "bit the bullet" and ordered without my answer (you're welcome O Light, suggest you do better) The reason I asked, is because I have a rather cheap but decent and mass produced tactical flashlight my dad ordered from QVC (or something :] ) here's a link to the equivalent. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00THMIJZU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_81H5BYYJG08B1MR1V56Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 As you can see. The turned 1 in OD band/section of this light is narrow/not long. Anyhow you can see the width or length is 20mm. I got this McDonalds of tac lights to work with this mound but u had to file down the rib closest to the adjustable head. Didn't take a pic of that but if you buy both parts of this setup it should be clear to you what I'm talking about once you start monkeying with them. Anywho...pretty happy with the result but haven't done much in the way of field testing. 😅 it's a good budget setup. Hope that helps somebody else!!

Works Just Fine
Easy to set up and easy to remove. It’s part metal and part polymer so I’m not sure you’d want it for duty use but it’s just fine for my needs.

Simple and strong
Cheap, easy to use, and very sturdy. 10/10 would and probably will buy again.

Great design and size
Works as expected. Use it to hold a head lamp to the back of my crawlspace robot. It's compact size is perfect for my needs.

Inexpensive alternative.
It survived Rifle Tactics 101 and multiple drop tests. When this thing is secured well, its not bad. Is it indestructible? Ask yourself, did you pay for indestructible? Cause hit hard enough, it will fail. Everything does to some degree. I just have not had the occasion to do so. But if you need something now, get it. It won't disappoint.

Not great if you need to hold zero
I got this to side mount a 1" green laser on my 12g shotgun. I specifically loved the low profile offset. A lot of other offset mounts place the item above the rail. Not so with the O-Light. After installing it looked great on my gun! I had concerns after the cosmetic admiration wore off. The tool-less design is convenient, but not great if you need a solid clamp on your device. The plastic knob can only be dialed in so much, and the awkward pull-out-and-twist mechanism made if difficult to get the mount to a point where I thought it tight enough to hold zero. Another concern is there is a single mechanism both for attaching to the pic rail, and securing your device in the mount. So a finnicky dial is doing double duty. Well, after a day at the range, the laser has completely shifted within the mount, and the whole mount is tilted. So yes, it's a 12 gauge, and there's a lot of recoil, and I bought this for something that needed to hold zero—so perhaps the blame is on me. Cosmetically, this thing looks great, and I love the tucked in profile. It's just not designed for anything that needs to hold zero under high recoil.
