I use this drive for my Linux installation, namely EndeavourOS. I have not a single complaint so far. Games load faster, files transfer faster. I no longer have to wait 15 seconds for my browser to fully load before being usable on first launch. As for temperatures it tends to idle between 40c-46c in my machine, with the maximum temp I've seen so far being about 61c. This is all without a heatsink and during the current heatwave in the UK. Incredibly reasonable in my opinion. 40 quid for this drive is an absolute steal. And barring some manufacturing fault, you won't be disappointed.

I'm very please with the performance and speed of this drive. It was a bit fiddly to install but that could be my particular motherboard and my big fingers. I recommend using a magnetised screwdriver because the screw that secures it is quite small.

Used this SSD to as as a secondary drive on my MSI Prestige (2020) laptop, It roughly doubles the storage of the original size and can create symbolic links two the new drive partition as needed. Have got working the NTFS file system for Windows and F2FS file system for Linux. The Kioxia SSD software is only for Windows and does not detect Linux only file systems like F2FS but its manly a Windows issue and still works file. Update (April 23rd 2023): I ended up getting another one, a 1TB NVMe drive, as a boot drive for my same laptop as before. Now the ssd is under the G2 label with a manufacture date of October 2022. And was very affordable if buying directly from Amazon UK with standard shipping (about $88 CAD). I updated the photo list to see new benchmarks and spec info. Like the previous drive, a large portion of the drive is ext4 & f2fs that cant be viewed by windows so it will be labelled as unallocated.

Not really much to say; it's an SSD. I've had it for a good few months now and it appears to work fine. Speeds are great and like most NVMe SSDs, was easy to install. If you're looking for a good-value storage upgrade, this is it.

Good drive

I've been using this for 18 months at this point and am very happy with the result. The load times are very fast for basically everything and the transfer speeds are still pretty good even if they aren't near the top level that some other SSDs might have. Overall it's very good.

I tested it on PCIe x16 channel and USB3.2 Gen2 port. On PCIe it can running around R=3400MB/S and W=2700~2800MB/S (sorry I didn't take photos), on USB it can running around R=1100MB/S and W=900MB/S

It’s been two months since I upgraded to this 1TB SSD, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. I got it for a great deal (4,270 at the time), and installed it on my 2018-built PC, which had been running on a hard drive until now. The performance boost has been incredible—everything runs much faster, and I can definitely feel the difference in speed. I have had zero issues so far, and I don’t regret upgrading one bit. The 1TB capacity is perfect for my needs, and I highly recommend this SSD if you get it at a good price.

The item was shipped very fast and delivered on time, however when i received it I noticed that the original packaging was taped back together, that the product was manufactured 4 years ago and when trying to write an image to the ssd it prompted me that authentication is required Immediately returned the item, waiting for a refund ...
