The most detailed map that shows the total eclipse path across the state only indicates four cities/towns within that space that the book indicates to be over 100 miles wide, stretching from Eagle Pass to Texarkana, although the book doesn't mention either of those towns. The size of the map is less than 4-1/2" from El Paso to Orange. Texas is a big state. I'm sure there are hundreds, if not thousands, of excellent places to view the eclipse, like Eagle Pass or Texarkana. This book only mentions 21 of them, and really doesn't give you enough information to find other locations, without buying another book.

Although this book has some interesting tips for traveling to see the eclipse, it is limited on providing a detailed map view of where to go to experience it. I would up buying the US Road Atlas
