Good, straight cut.

It looks OK. The blade retention screws start off very tight. Difficult to secure blade. The adjustment screw has some free play. Haven't used yet. UPDATE: June 6, 2025. I like the way this tool works. Very simple concept. But the plastic retaining "clip" for the blade is not. It shattered under pressure. If you don't apply enough pressure the blade slips making the process very frustrating. this is not a cheap product but the quality of the plastic material is not in my opinion. I can't return it due to the time frame.

Neat tool. Could have used one years ago. Note this is an inexpensive one. If you expect to use it a lot purchase the more expensive one.

First one worked so well so I bought a second one. Issue was I tightened the screw down too tightly and split the plastic. So, do not over-tighten the screws.

Worked great to make our couches comfy again. Before these, two people on the same couch caused them to roll in to each other. These made the couch usable for multiple people again. Also, much easier to get up from the couches now.

I purchased this product to help me with some miniature work for cutting balsa and foam board and couldn’t wait to use it when I got it but it actually took me a few weeks to get around to using it. Unfortunately, the screws on the side holding the blade are so tight that I actually could not get them undone, and had to have my husband unscrew the placement screws. The blade has to be held at an angle to be able to be used properly and the wheel that was on the other side of the blade just spins I have no idea what it supposed to do and if it’s supposed to manipulate the depth of the blade from the main bar I can’t get it to work. So I would probably say if you’re clever enough to make your own cutter from a piece of wood and your own screws. It might be much more cost-efficient and productive versus purchasing this piece of plastic junk.

If you need a simple cutting guide for modeling projects this device will do but it has it's drawbacks. The blade is held in place by two screws and a plastic bar but the plastic it's made of feels somewhat brittle. I'm afraid if it tighten the screws too much the housing will snap. This is problem because the blade does not sit securely. It will slide back, forth, up and down. Also, it only locks in one direction so you have to be sure and check between strips that the cut is consistent. It's not an awful product but it isn't fantastic either. I don't regret the purchase, I just have to be extra diligent with it's use.

My item arrived before the stated date and nice product, it will be used a lot.

So good for model work safe to use and you get extra blades definitely recommend and a good price
