Excellent Cutter for drilling holes
If you want to drill (machine) clean and accurate holes into metal {+0.004", -0.000" in steel}, the annular cutters are the way to go. Anything over 3/8 of an inch starts getting difficult to bore, especially over 1/2". Twist bits have their purpose and their limitations too. When I was a young pup, I work in maintenance as an apprentice mill wright. I had to drill countless holes in iron for a truck scale. Holes up 1-1/8" with twist bits. Holes of that size were drilled in 3-4 stages, tedious process. Annular cutters @ any size will cut in one blow. A 1-1/8" diameter hole through 1" iron is about a 2 min approx. I own a magnetic drill that has the 3/4 inch Weldon Chuck on it, that is required for this cutter. I converted my production drill press to handle all my annular cutters. You need to have cutting fluid while boring. My press is 3/4 HP and variable speed on demand. Cutting speeds range from 600-1000rpm for 1/2" to 270-460rpm for 1-1/4". Personally, 1/2 HP is probably the smallest motor I would recommend. There is a lot of TORQUE involve while cutting. The item you are drilling "MUST BE" anchor to the drill press table!!! Otherwise, serious injury or more could happen. I am a serious DIY type person. Annular cutting IS NOT cheap. Once your friends {like me} found out that I can punch holes into 1-1/2" iron [2" cutter], I got more work than I want too. Now, these cutters ARE NOT sharpen easily. I have to send then off to a shop that can do it. They charge $30-35 per cutter. For the price I got these @, I just by new ones. My larger ones are costly, resharpen it about half of a new one. I have sizes from 7/16" to 1-3/8" Final Note: If you keep the cutters WELL lubricated and DO NOT over force them, you will get many of cuts.

Worked great
Borrowed a magnetic drill to drill some holes in a truck frame. Only drilled a dozen holes but kept lubed with used oil and couldn't tell a difference from first hole to last. Worked great.

Garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Dull after 1 hole. Absolute junk. Bought a replacement bit in a Evolution brand, and finished 50 holes with it.
