He's crafted a personality and demeanor that is effortlessly cool and charismatic, he cares a lot about his studies but makes it look like it comes naturally, and makes his life as efficient as possible so that he can coast into a good college, get a good job, and bask in his success. And that all falls apart when he discovers art as a means to express himself, not the carefully currated person he portrays. Its actually a really emotional and exciting moment when you see him develop this passion. This manga is really special. I love how Yatora's growth as an artist is very gradual and realistic. He doesn't have any talent in the beginning. Through enthusiasm, relentless practice, and studying, Yatora slowly develops his skills. A lot of beginning artists could learn a lot from some of the tips talked about in this book too. I want to get this book for all my artist friends. Gorgeous art-focused manga
Blue Period is really gorgeous and relates to anyone who enjoys art. The protagonist, Yatora, is super fake. He's crafted a personality and demeanor that is effortlessly cool and charismatic, he cares a lot about his studies but makes it look like it comes naturally, and makes his life as efficient as possible so that he can coast into a good college, get a good job, and bask in his success. Fantastic Story!
I picked up a copy of this book for my roommate who was looking to get into manga and ended up reading it myself! It's a really enjoyable story and the quality of the book was wonderful. I was a little hesitant to purchase a copy since it looked like there was an error on the colored pages from other reviews, but I did not have that issues. It looks like the printing issue has been corrected. I'm already looking forward to picking up book 2!

I like it for teens
Has a pretty good story line and it is like a comment book so he comes with pictures and words. This is a great gift for teenagers and it's an entire collection to keep them occupied.

PERFECT EVERYTHING!
I just started getting into blue period but I love it so far. The manga is PERFECT! It came in perfect condition and it seems so good:). I would recommend this and if you wanna watch it, it’s on Netflix!
