A great compilation
If you are an Andy Williams fan, this album is a must have for your collection. Every song is classic.

Buy this one for starters anyay
Took me an hour to find this combination of tracks, and used spotify to narrow down the albums. There are a few called "Very best of...." two with the same album cover , the other with the hook of "Moon river " on the cover, and different tracks.This one though is a great mix, and the other ones not so much at all. Paid a bit more for this set , but worth it I think. Would have liked Charade, and Battle Hymn of the Republic as well, but sure this is a good start.

Acheté pour un titre "Music to watch girls by" très réussi. Le reste est passable, un peu trop répétitif...

Andy Williams wurde 1927 in Wall Lake/Iowa geboren. Zusammen mit seinen 3 Brüdern trat er bis 1952 als "The Williams Brothers" auf. Im Jahr 1956 begann dann seine Solo-Karriere bei CBS, der Firma, der er ein Leben lang treu blieb. Auch als CBS in SONY MUSIC aufging. Er war mit 45 Titeln in den amerikanischen Charts vertreten, darunter eine Reihe von Nr. 1 Hits. Damit kam er Frank Sinatra sehr nahe. Sein gefühlvoller Bariton verzückte vor allem seine weiblichen Fans. Von 1962 bis 1970 war er mit der französischen Sängerin Claudine Longet verheiratet. Williams war bis ins hohe Alter auf der Bühne präsent. In Deutschland hatte er merkwürdigerweise keinen großen Erfolg. Das lag aber sicherlich daran, dass diese Musiksparte vom deutschen Schlager abgedeckt wurde. Seine größten Erfolge waren Moon River, Can't Get Used to Losing You, Born Free, We've Only Just Begun, mein Lieblingstitel "Almost There" und May Each Day! Die vorliegende Doppel-CD enthält alle diese Songs. William's Musik steht im krassen Gegensatz zu dem, was heute an Pop-Songs angeboten wird und eigentlich nur für die Teenie-Generation akzeptabel ist. Im Jahr 2012 starb Andy Williams im Alter von 85 Jahren. Er wird mit seiner Musik auf ewig in der "Hall Of Fame" weiterleben.
