For certain types of fishing I find the 14-to-16 in long back, (from the back of the reel seat to butt end of pole), end of the pole too long and intrusive.These rods are 10.25 inches long and do not get caught up in your clothing or hit your side when working the bait.Granted, I have short arms, but I see a lot of longer armed fishermen who seem to have the same problem, so these are a good solution.Also, these weigh 3.9 ounces, so they are nice and light and won't tire your arm or wrist as much as heavy rods.I haven't had it for very long, so I can't comment on how they'll hold up. They do have an acceptable warranty, so they should hold up well for the money.

Highly disappointed because the fishing rod came broken, but it had to be broken from the vendor because the rod was a 6 foot 8 inch rod and the box it arrived in was 5 foot 2 inches long, the broken 20 inch tip of the rod was in the plastic bag along with the bottom part of the rod. I don’t know if the people boxing it up broke the tip to get it in the smaller box or if it was a return item that someone broke and returned but either way it was highly disappointing to receive the broken rod.
