It worked well on macboock air (early 2015 A1466)
I used this adapter for my macbook air 13 (early 2015 A1466) I used following ssd module lexar Nm610 nvme The only trouble I had was with opening of back panel and ssd module so make sure you get a pentalob screw driver. the one sent with the kit does not work. Before doing anything : 1. Take backup if your important data 2. Make a mac os bootable. When above is done : 1. just open back panel 2. Remove power adapter and battery cable. 3. remove old ssd. 4. Install converter and new ssd module 5. attach batter cable 6. put back the back panel 7. insert bootable mac os pendrive 8. boot it and go to disk utility 9 select your newly install ssd and erase it. 10. go back and select reinstall mac os Hope this helps.

MacBook Air 13 inch ,Early 2015(A 1466)
I was looking to upgrade my MacBook Air stock 128 gb with a higher capacity ssd. Google search took me to this item listed in amazon. buying through aliexpress is definitely cheaper but takes more time and returns not easy so decided to buy this adapter on amazon. delivery was quick by the seller and the adapter arrived in 2 days. Tools required: 1) pentalobe 1.2 and T5 screwdriver. both are available on amazon. 2) M.2 nvme ssd 3) pen drive . 4. apple to m.2 nvme adapter. Steps: 1. create a bootable usb using macOS Catalina. 2. open back cover of MacBook using the pentalobe screwdriver. 3. disconnect the battery . 4. unscrew the stock ssd using T5 screwdriver. 5. pull out the ssd from its slot. 6. insert the m.2 adapter into the ssd slot.make sure it goes all the way in . 7. insert the new m.2 ssd into the adapter. 8. put back the ssd screw so that both the adapter and the ssd are firmly secured in position.9. reconnect the battery. 10. put back the back cover plate and screw tight the pentalobe screws. 11. switch on the Mac and boot from the usb drive with macOS Catalina. 12. format the new ssd using disk utility and install new os as clean install or from time machine backup. Important Points to keep in mind: not all drives are compatible with the adapter. Initially I used crucial MX 500 ssd but the system didn't recognise it. Then I tried with WD black 750 SN750. initially the system recognised it but I was unable to format it . Finally, I installed Samsung 970 evo 500gb and the system recognised it instantly and everything went smooth. I would recommend to use ONLY Samsung 970 evo as it worked for me. I have also installed windows 10 using bootcamp and so far no issues.

As per expectation
Bought it at 395/- and used with WD SN570 ssd on Mac Air 2017. I got 1200-1300 Mbps speed on both Mac and Windows (Bootcamp) As max limit for Mac hardware is around 1500-1600Mbps, I'm pretty satisfied with these speeds so far. I hope I dont face any issue of restart as stated by others. It's been 12 hours or so and it hasnt restarted even once thankfully. Definitely worth a try. BTW they sent a Good Quality screwdriver too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ For not fitting properly else functions normal no hibernation or sleep wakeup issue till now I've been using for more than a week quality wise it's good but fitting is little different, attach a picture else go for it... without any thoughts like it if you find this helpful

Works like a charm but comes at a price!!
The product is a perfect fit adapter for the NVME 2.0 M1 SSD and works like a charm. Although it's a bit pricey but no other adapter on Amazon seems to work if you're thinking about replacing your SSD.

Works great, and now I have blazing fast speeds on my 2015 MBA. I have a Firecuda 530 1 tb NVME ssd in it right now, which is way overkill, but it’s all I had. Once I get a pcie 3.0 x4 stick I’ll swap it out, and shouldn’t see any performance difference. Even so, getting well over 1,000 MB/s read/write on my MBA is like 10x faster. If you’re looking to upgrade a Mac and have a pcie slot to use (some SSD’s are soldered to the board), get yourself an NVME SSD M.2 drive before upgrading your RAM or CPU (if you even can). It will make the biggest impact on performance upgrade. Then upgrade RAM 2nd, and CPU 3rd. I didn’t upgrade my CPU because the next model up wasn’t much of a performance increase for the price. I recommend the Crucial P2 NVME SSD in either 1TB or 2TB for the price conscious. For a bit more $ you can’t go wrong with the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB or 2TB. I’d recommend a 4TB drive, but the pricing on that size is still too high.

If you need a large data storage device, consider this option but be prepared to pay a little more.
