You wouldn’t think such an old school sweeper that I remember as a kid in the 1970s would be so good today. It’s very simple to use. It picks up everything. It’s not a replacement for a vacuum, but it will work for a quick touchups and the dust bin empties easily from both sides and it comes with a little rake to get some of the hair off the middle brush. It’s made very solid with a handle that screws in and will not break the bottom folds up and it’ll fit nicely in the closet. It will pick up fur and kitty litter off of the rug.

This is an excellent carpet cleaner!!! I got this for my classroom because we have two rugs that total about 10‘ x 20‘. The kids were tracking in dirt from the yard. Plus we had pencil shavings, tiny pieces of paper, etc. I was getting totally disgusted by all the junk on the carpets, but I did not want to ask the custodians to vacuum them because I know they are already overworked and understaffed as it is. They don’t need to be told to lug the darn vacuum around now, too! And if you have ever worked at a school, you know the vacuums we have are similar in weight to the ones from the 1950s. Seriously, they are that heavy!! No way am I going to ask the custodians to lug that thing around even once a week to vacuum my carpets when the vast majority of our floors are hard surfaces. I used to be a waitress, so this item came to my mind when I sat and thought about it for a little bit. I did not even know they even made these things anymore! Teachers, this little guy is fantastic! The kids actually enjoy using it. They love to help out by using this little device. I even enjoy using it, LOL, and I hate to clean! I guess there’s something really satisfying about getting the carpet clean…? I’m actually laughing at myself, here! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 It has two large compartments on the underside which are very easy to open once you get the hang of it. The only thing is that you will definitely want to wash your hands after emptying it and put on gloves before you start because that is where all the dust and debris comes out. The other thing that you could consider a con is that you will have to get your scissors out every few months or so to cut off hair, string, and whatever else accumulates on the rollers. Butif you put on gloves before doing this, it’s not really an issue. We've had this for about 1-2 months, and I really love it since we can use it any time without disturbing other classes, the kids like to use it, it really works (including on hard surfaces!), Anna's it's easy to empty!! I'm hoping my students don’t break this, but if they ever do, I will get another one right away!! I'll try to upload a video soon.

This little sweeper works great! I have a Aussie Shepherd/ Husky/Collie mix that I foster failed... not a mix I would've chosen, but he's become the absolute love of my life. That said, every day I wake to a dusting of fur upon all the surfaces of my home. This little sweeper gets up all that fur on my rugs in between vacuuming sessions. It's easy to assemble, light weight, and a nice size. I also use it as a pre-vacuum - just to give the vacuum a break. I wish I could use it on my tile floors, but the swiffer does fine for those, so 4 stars instead of 5... but it's a 5 star rug cleaner.

Do not hesitate to buy!! This works so well, I could not believe it and coulsn't be happier. It picks up everything from all of my different carpets and area rugs including pet hair. It is very well made with metal housing that holds a lot of dirt, from salt size molecules to fall leaf and pinecone debris. I think it is the perfect weight and size, very easy to store it away close by. I have mine tucked away in a corner. It is lightweight and rolls easily with almost no effort. You will love this sweeper!!

Works PERFECTLY on waterproof carpet cover. Great for lightweight rugs that are too flimsy for vacuums.

This item works well but I did have to bend lower than I wanted and press hard as I went back and forth with the sweeper. So picks up hair and small debris with a little added muscle!

I remember using this type of cleaner from my childhood. It is perfect for picking up crumbs after dinner in France 60 years ago. I was so happy to see it on Amazon. It is perfect for low pile carpets. It is easy to store when not in use.
