Being it was my first experience with black garlic i didn't know what to expect. I was taking a clove of garlic a day and it was "spicy", suffice to say the black garlic is sweeter than it is spicy/savory. Over all it was a delight and it will definitely be added to my regular repeat purchases.

I was first introduced to black fermented garlic two years ago. Knowing full well that garlic is very beneficial to human health, such as lowering cholesterol and supporting immune system, I was very curious about this version of garlic. I ordered a sample and liked it very much. Black fermented garlic has a mild, almost delicate taste, and yet it is flavorful and highly enjoyable. It can be consumed on its own or placed in salads. This particular version of black fermented garlic was outstanding. I highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to try something different. Black fermented garlic is one of my favorites!

This item came with the lid cracked and the seal was half open.

If you like black garlic, this is a good way to go. I am familiar with this garlic for quite a few years. Have always been pleased with it. It seems however, that there are too many negative (1 star reviews) relating mostly to packaging issues, but also country of origin. Rio Rand should clear these up and could do so by simple replying to the reviews (and making the necessary adjustments.) This would perhaps assuage the customers' concerns. Good PR in other words. C'mon Rio Rand!
