For a basic rice cooker, why is it so expensive?

We have had our Zojirushi rice cooker for 22 years. It still works perfectly and this ie even after a neighbor knocked of a 4 ft counter. We have used it to make rice 4-5 times a week.

The capacity listed for all rice cookers are the maximum capacity for cooking raw short grain white rice, measured in the rice measuring cup (approximately 3/4 US standard cup). The maximum capacity for cooking other types of rice (such as brown rice or long grain rice) will differ.
