Sperry Women's Saltwater Boots

This is my first good pair of rain boots. I love them so far! I’ve used them several times this year in pretty heavy rainfall and walking through deep puddles. They keep my feet nice and dry. I always worry about rain boots being too hot…these are not. I like the loose laces and the zipper on the side too. My normal size fit perfect! And I get compliments on the look all the time!!

I bought these boots because we were about to have some significant winter weather and my other boots were boxed somewhere due to a move to another state. I liked the looks of these boots as well as the price and ordered them. They are super comfortable (honestly more comfortable than my super expensive boots) and fit true to size. I like the side zipper that helps with putting on the boots. The material has held up well and I haven't noticed any coating peeling or flaking off the boots. I also haven't noticed any seems splitting or any areas that have been compromised. They keep my feet dry and definitely warmer than they would be in any other shoe.My 4 stars instead of 5 comes from the difficulty of putting on the boots. There's no loop in the back to grab to help pull them on (other reviewers have said the same) which makes putting them on difficult. Also, if you have difficulties bending to put on a shoe or have any kind of fine motor difficulties due to injury, arthritis, medical condition, etc. these boots do not go on easily which is frustrating and could make them a no go for that population. I do have some hand strength issues thanks to some post cancer medical issues and I have to look at these a long time before I decide to wrestle with them. Recently found my more expensive, less comfortable boots while unpacking in my new house and I opted to wear these instead of the Sperrys because the other are much easier to put on; less comfortable but more accessible to me.I've seen other posters mention the loop and difficulties putting on these boots and I hope Sperry takes notice and makes some design changes.
