Andersen Operator Handle Metro Style Folding in White (1995 to Present)

First, I was very glad to have found an opener handle for an Anderson window replacement unit we had installed eleven years ago with a 10 year warranty. The original handle just broke in half at a weak plastic point in its design/construction. It was impossible to find this item on the Anderson site, so it might be discontinued. I appreciate that Amazon had this available at what seems like a moderate price. The installation was very easy. Mine might be the only one to have this defect, but the handle is impossible to fold back on itself like the original handle could. That was a nice feature in winter to simply get it out of the way. Otherwise, the opener works smoothly. If you own Anderson replacement windows, be sure to lubricate all moving parts on a regular basis. If they get even a little tough to open, you can easily break the poorly designed handle and you will need to order one of these. Shipping was not two days, but fast enough for me.

These folding handles are no longer made and incredibly hard to find. This replacement was a perfect match for my Anderson windows.

Got this to replace the broken crank on my Anderson window. Matched perfectly style and color. Seems well made and should last. Purchased a few spares for when the other original Anderson window cranks fail. Easy to install, looks good.

The screw to secure the part can be a little stiff at first, so make sure you have the correct driver size to provide sufficient force to free it up without causing any damage to the screw head.

Fit my 20 year old Renewal By Anderson window perfectly. Identical to the original Metro Series handle it replaced.

I replaced a couple of these, and the retaining screw on a new one failed within a couple of weeks of light use.
