High Life Heavy Pomade

Awesome old school style pomade. Best hold out of any grease I've tried. Has an awesome coconut smell as well.

This is one of the only oil based pomades on the market where wax is the first ingredient instead of petrolatum (grease). Make sure you used conditioner before trying to apply this to damp hair, and warm it a lot in your hands. If it’s too much wax, mix in a bit of low wax pomade (tres Flores or royal crown, $2 at Walmart) or even a medium wax pomade like Murray’s. If you can’t get it out, use suave daily clarifying shampoo ($1.80 at Walmart) then conditioner. Not complicated. People mix pomades all the time. Each one has a ratio of oil to wax (except water based ones-first ingredient water- different ballgame entirely), and you find the ratio you like either by trying different pomades or mixing them. Where this one really shines is if you use a greasier one like Murray’s for two or three days without using clarifying shampoo, and the oil build up is high and it’s too heavy and collapsing,so you don’t want more oil. This wax does the trick in that situation.

Not what I was looking for, it doesn't hold as well as I thought it would from the advertising, but its not a terrible product, and its no joke it does not wash out, i sat in the shower and used olive oil and dawn dish soap for 30-40 min and its still in there. smells good though.

Really strong hold and not super greasy. Great for serious hold but not a lot of sheen

Great hold and great finish! However is heavy and sometimes hard to keep volume in your hair throughout the day. Also has a shine that is desirable, but is extremely hard to get out. Sometimes takes three to four washes before it gets completely out.
